Introduction:
As you open the door, a loud thud echoes through the tavern, and you wince slightly. They need to get that door fixed...
A sleek white Mirror female is standing behind the tavern counter wiping off a white cup. She watches as you take a seat on one of the bar stools. "Welcome to Splinterbone Tavern," she says in a chilly voice.
Your skin prickles uneasily at the name. I guess I should have read the sign before blundering in here, you think to yourself. "I'll have some water if you got any. Preferably with ice."
"Yes, we have that," the Mirror answers, hurrying into the back through a creaky swinging gate.
You let out a deep breath and try to relax, but you can't quite shake the feeling of uneasiness.
Some dragons sitting at a nearby table begin to raise their voices.
"I don't get it though!" a dark green Mirror female says. "How did we not know of this before?"
The other Mirror sitting at the table, a dark yellow male, rubs his chin thoughtfully. "Maybe she couldn't do it before? Perhaps she needed to reach a certain age?"
"I don't know, Dunegrasper... It's... It's just weird and I don't want mom getting hurt by it." The green Mirror looks at the table sadly, and Dunegrasper reaches a comforting claw over.
"Don't worry. Swamplurk doesn't always seem like the toughest, but she can put up a good fight." The Mirror sighs. "Come on, let's go tell her before she messes with anything else."
The green Mirror grabs up some parchments that were lying on the table and follows Dunegrasper.
You watch them leave, then turn your eyes back to the table. They forgot a small scroll.
You get up and walk to the table, and after some slight hesitation, you turn the scroll over. By complete accident, your talon breaks the strip of leather holding it closed and it opens.
And that was the last thing that happened when you are suddenly waking up outside a slightly camoflaged cave located in the Everbloom Gardens.
