The air held a subtle chill to it; an autumnal bite that was hard to dress for. The sun was beginning to dip behind the horizon, an array of yellows and oranges giving way to dark blues and purples. The street lamps had already flickered to life, and local shops and mom-and-pop places were starting to close for the night. It was quiet in Hammerlocke; honestly, it was pretty quaint and unique place. If Bonnie weren't in so much of a panic, she might've been more intrigued by the medieval architecture that surrounded the town.

The gym was pretty hard to miss; it towered over the rest of the buildings, and the design was...ostentatious, to put it simply. God, she hoped she hadn't missed the guy she was looking for-- she really didn't want to go through the hassle of tracking him down even more. She heard the man was tall, and had a pretty unique get-up; figured he'd be pretty easy to spot if he was still hanging around the gym.

She really hoped he was.

(alright! I’m subbed.)

Raihan had been walking around the gym a while, going to each gym trainer who had still stayed in the stadium and making sure their Pokemon were well care for. As prissy as he seemed, having his phone out at almost every moment, he never took the health of a Pokemon- or of a person- as a joke. He was sitting down with a Sliggoo, the small snail-esque pokemon piping up with strange chirps and warbles as Raihan dug through his bag to find some medicinal items for it. The poor thing had been burned and it’s gym trainer had forgotten about it between matches with the oncoming gym challengers.

Eventually he pulled out a burn heal, sighing in relief as he did. He looked back at the Sliggoo and gestured for it to come closer, the Pokemon doing so in its own relaxed pace. He used the item and the Sliggoo immediately perked back up, giving a happy and charmed noise towards Raihan as he smiled back at it.

He stood back up, looking at the small entrance tunnel. The place was eerily quiet, and it seemed like he was the only one left. Aside from the friendly Sliggoo, of course.

The entrance to the gym made Bonnie crane her neck for a moment, gazing up at the giant iron gate hoisted up above the ground; okay, so it wasn't closed for the night. That was a good sign. The walk down the long hallway was quiet, and the foyer of the castle was no different; barely anything stirred. The emblem of the gym hung above another large entryway-- presumably that of the stadium. God, the place was giving her the creeps. She wouldn't be surprised if it was infested with ghost-type Pokemon.

Bonnie pushed her sunglasses up on top of her head as she walked down the second hallway, stuffing her hands in the pockets of her bomber as her eyes nervously flitted around, scanning over the tapestries along the wall briefly. When her eyes focused on a figure beyond the approaching end of the hall, her shoulders squared a bit. Guy definitely looked tall.

"Ay, you Raihan?" She called out, before she was even at the threshold of the hall. Her voice seemed to carry quite a bit; god, where all the gyms in this region so big?

“...Yeah? Do you need something?” He asked, looking over towards her. The bright lights of the stadium made him seen like a shadow. The sliggoo behind Raihan chirped and went over to her. Thankfully, he was already fairly close to the enterance, so it didn’t take as long as one might’ve thought to reach Bonnie.

The sliggoo looked up at her, blinking curiously.

Bonnie's focus flicked down to the little Sliggoo as it approached, though she just as quickly settled her attention back on Raihan. Okay, step one complete. She found the guy. "Yeah, I need to talk with you-- heard you know a lot 'bout dragon types. More than other dragon-specialists." By the time she was done talking, the Sliggoo had reached her feet; she reached down a little bit, so the little guy could sniff her hand. A cutie, but she had something important to focus on. "Got somewhere more, uh, private we could chat?"

“Look, who are you?” Raihan asked as the Sliggoo tried to nuzzle bonnie’s leg.
“Are you one of my fans?- oh, god. Look, I’m sorry but it just doesn’t work like that.” He growled between clenched teeth. It seemed like he’d gotten used to, and sick of such an interaction.
“Please don’t make me force you out of the gym.” He said, readying a hand on one of the poke balls slung around his hips.

Bonnie couldn't help the subtle smile that tugged at her lips when the Sliggoo cozied up to her leg-- though it quickly faded at the man's shift in demeanor. "Wh-- Fan?" She scoffed derisively, shaking her head as she planted a hand on her hip, close to one of her Pokeballs, in case he really did want to take it that far. "I didn't even know it was you when I walked up in here; cool your jets, 'ight? Jus' need some help with a lil' problem I got--with a Pokemon of mine."

(I can only imagine her with an aggressively thick Brooklyn accent and it kills me every time I think about it)

Raihan’s hand loosened but it didn’t leave his side.
“...Alright. What Pokemon? And what’s the problem?” He asked, still eyeing her figure suspiciously. It was turning dark very quickly, making the sheer brightness of the lights all the more unbearable.

“And if you aren’t here for anything bad, you won’t mind if I let my pokemon out, mm?” He added, grip retightening. The last few words gave a vague reveal of an accent he seemed to be trying to hide in his voice.

That's pretty much what she has, yeah :') ))

Bonnie chewed the inside of her cheek for a moment, contemplating what to say; considering she had been able to just...waltz right into the place, she didn't feel very confident in letting Rayquaza out. She glanced over her shoulder, back at the long hallway that lead to the castle foyer. Instead of answering his first two questions, though, she looked back at him at his third. "Go for it," She replied disinterestedly.

After a moment, she reached for one of the Pokeballs fastened around her hip, letting out its denizen; a Charizard manifested from the white light, though his scales never took on an orange hue. They remained a pale alabaster, reddened eyes shifting from the tall stranger, to his shorter trainer, then very fleetingly down to the Sliggoo. All she had to do was jab a thumb over her shoulder, and the dragon-type got the hint; he meandered back down the hall with a huff, presumably to make sure nobody would intrude.

"Y'know that outbreak the news keeps talkin' 'bout? 'M worried onn'a mine caught whateva's goin' 'round-- but I don't think the symptoms are, uh...gonna manifest like they do in a normal Pokemon. I can't tell. Heard you know dragon's better than anyone else, though."
