(Its no problem. Get well soon, and your more than welcome to jump in again if you want. It was fun having you))
Coalic looked at the girl, frowning just a little. "Of course there is... Anything you said is possible, but it could be simply a matter of symbiosis.... A demon might take the human's sight or he might loose an arm to the human... Plus in a strong pact would mean if something happens to one side, then the other could be injured, either physically or mentally.... There are many layers to the whole thing, and it depends on the situation... Are you perhaps interested? I'm sorry but I'm going to have to decline...." He said, with a small smirk. "As much as I would enjoy more power, I want little to do with this city... Not that you could offer anything for me, I'm sure..." He nodded, not even giving her a chance to respond. He looked to where they had come in, hearing a light ring from the door, signalling the vampire had left. It sounded as if the rain had lighten up, too.

[It was a lot of fun having you Qaumosthy and like Fox said, if you ever want to jump back in I too am all for it. Hope you get well soon]
"What if I hypothetically offer you my first born, demons love that kinda thing right?" Saaleha tried to tease but at the same time felt somehow offended that this demon wasn't even willing to hash some sort of plan out for what she could offer. Just declined, rejected.
There went her chance at something more, right out the window. It stung a little to know that while she knew there was more out there she seemed to be destined for this boring life, small time baker assistant with a minor in engineering. How...Exciting.
Saaleha sighed, looking defeated before offering a small bittersweet smile. She wasn't about to push it, he had declined her and she felt it wise to respect his decision. She knew if given the chance she'd probably leave this town as well, but then what? She had no real game plan so maybe...Maybe this was for the best. Best to live a boring yet safe life.
"Oh, I think the lords left...And you're lamb should be done by now" Saaleha spoke as she leaned back on her heels before walking forward to grab the chair, patting it a little. "Want to take the squeaky chair express back to your table to finish your meal, or do you think you can walk?"

"Oh, dear... You'll have to be much more creative that that o even make me consider changing my mind.... What will I do with some squish, screaming piece of flesh...? Eat it? Thats such a waste and so boring.." He exclamed in an over dramatic way. He looked over to her, noticing the change in her mood. He gave a sigh and looked to the side. Maybe he was a little rude to the girl. She was feeding him after.
"Look.. DOn't look so unhappy, Okay? I'll go ahead and pull your chair back to the dining area, hmm?" He nodded. He lifted the chair with one hand and turned to head back out and sit at his chair. "The food here really does smell great..." He said aloud. "Much more interesting than anything on the mountain..." He hummed, crossing his legs.

"Look, i'm just an incredibly cute human. I don't know what demons do with other peoples first borns" Saaleha now shrugged, trying to play off the disappointment she felt in all this, just hide it behind a smile and take this as a message from god.
Saaleha then moved her hands off the chair so that the other could take it while opening the swinging door for him so he could more easily go back to his table and eat, and then probably leave.
"I hope so, I mean this foods our lively hood" Saaleha spoke as she walked back out to the main part of the restaurant, noticing that the bit of lamb was indeed laid out for Coalic at his table, along with three small dishes on the counter that were originally for the lord.
"Our previous guest left before tasting the other three dishes, you can have them if you wish Saaleha" Yasir spoke as he was cleaning the table the lord had been once sitting at, Saaleha seemed to quickly grab her little dishes and then another chair and pulled it all over to Coalic's table because making a pact with her or not this was still probably a demon! That was exciting in itself, she had so many questions that she couldn't ask here, but figured she could at least try and be buddy buddy.
Plus what else was she going to do, the place was dead. No customers besides this one, might as well bug him a little.

Coalic looked at the lamb and nodded. Everything smelled so delightful to his strong senses. He looked at the food before starting to eat, seeming quite hungry. "So..." He said between bites. "Hypotheticly speaking... What WOULD you do if you had magic? I mean, You seem like the type who would like to fly the coop as soon as possible...." He said, shrugging. As he ate, plate after pate seemed to disapear quickly. THe demon found himself much hungryier than he antisapated. "The vampire doesn't know what he's missing..." He hummed. He thought about the upperclass for a moment. Part of him found himself curious of what the upper class life would be like. His thoughts wondered off as he continued to think about the subject, an it was clear he was growing distracted.

Saaleha glanced up at Coalic as he started to eat, forking through her own food as she wasn't feeling 100% up for food but at the same time, it was food and she knew it probably had extra care. She could just see it in the layout of her small dishes that her brother had spent extra time making sure it looked nice. There was also a strange satisfaction in messing up that hard work before taking a bite.
Though as Coalic asked his rather blunt question in the store for all to hear, mostly being Yasir, Saaleha just gave him an intense look as if silently saying 'Don't you know anything of being subtle?!'
"Nothing, magic is taboo and to even take the chance of pondering what could be done is a little too risky for me" Saaleha laid while being able to feel Yasir now staring at them. It wasn't just taboo in law for them, but is very much so went against the teachings of their religion. Then again that in itself, something that was so taboo was what originally drew Saaleha to take that very risk she spoke of, to just ponder what she could do. The life she could live and the people she could help.
Magic was dangerous, but she felt it was a key to set her soul free.
When Yasir seemed to go back to work Saaleha lightly kicked Coalic from under the table, thanking the lord that she was sitting in such a way that her back was turned to the baker before mouthing out '
Let's talk about this later in private' and then she went back to eating.
"You keep calling Lord Grey a vampire, so i'm guessing you've heard the rumors? Crazy stuff, especially to think he'd admit to such things. Do you think he was just having a laugh?" Saaleha now asked, trying to speak as she felt normal people would and she prayed for once since she met this man that Coalic would read the atmosphere and just go along with this, at least until they left the store and could talk more freely.

Coalic glared as the girl gave him a light kick under the table. He didn't much apreciate the girls attitude.. Though It was funny to watch her become quietly frustrated with him. He took the hint that she didn't want to talk about the subject but he wasn't about to back down to her. "No... He was surely a vampire, if I've ever seen one... Or at least he smelt like it... " He shrugged. "If he was, than it was the overcast weather that let him out in the day.."
He finished the food and looked torts the door, seeing the rain slowing down nothing more than a drizzle. "Looks like things are clearing up out there, hmm?" He said, stretching out. "I'll have to thank you again for the food.... Though unfortunitely I'm unable to do that properly..." He sighed.

"Oh that's weird because i'm pretty sure
humans can't smell vampires" She looked like she was about to kick him again, already frustrated with his lack of just keeping his mouth shut and she was pretty sure now that he was doing this on purpose. That he was just a right ***.
Saaleha now rested hear head in her hands, almost ready to fight a demon as she listened to the rain, seemed like the storm was indeed letting up. "Is it still thundering?" She asked as she just wasn't looking right now. She needed a moment to compose herself. "And you can pay for the food" With the money she gave him, she pretty much just bought him breakfast.

Coalic almost started laughing at the girl who was clearly becoming annoyed with him. "How do you know? Blood has a distictive scent, and some humans might have stronger senses than you, my dear..." he laughed, clapping his hands together. "I don't know about you, but I find it rude to assume everyone is exactly the same..." he smirked.
He looked out the window and frowned a little. "No... I think all the thunder moved on..." he said, glancing back. He blinked at the realisation and pulled out the coins she had made him take. "Ah... I nearly forgot about these..." he said, dropping them to the table. "I've rarely used coin currency where I'm from, since simply swapping materials if good enough for many of the folk there... Any way, U get the sense your waiting on someone... This better not be another threat to me..."

"No, no i'm pretty sure no normal human can't smell blood over the scent of the food we cook here, it's kind of overwhelming at times" Saaleha now peeked at Coalic through her fingers, unsure of how to feel about this guy since at sometimes he seemed like he could be fun, but 80% of the time she was pretty sure he was just having a laugh.
She felt his dude with his big mouth was certainly going to get them thrown into jail and then killed. Well she guessed if so that would be a pretty good situation for a pact, share the power and get out of death...But she'd really rather not go anywhere near that route, ever.
Saaleha removed a hand from her face in order to scoop up the coins, count through them, give a few back since the meal didn't cost that much and then went to put what was left in her hand into the register.
"Not really waiting...We normally get three customers in the morning, a lone kid, a woman who feels like mafia and my sister" Saaleha sighed a little as she went to sit back down, looking out the window. "But if she's not here now she isn't coming today. Storms freak her out and even after...Too wet" Saaleha then chuckled, smiling a little more as she remembered that her sister was a germaphob and if possible liked to avoid getting wet or muddy if possible.
"She's probably in her store right now, completing some orders or working on one of her personal projects. But hey, even if she did come around she wouldn't be a threat. She's like...A mother hen, too kind to bother some random stranger off the street buuuut" Saaleha paused as she looked over Coalic. "You have no fashion, she'd probably avoid you"
Saaleha then chuckled a little.
