In Sornieth, rumours fly as well as dragons. They spread as fast and as swiftly as the sky, travelling through the land through word on letter or simple gossip.
One such rumour speaks tales of the month of October, specifically the days after the festivities of the Plague element quieten down and become mere memories and another expectancy for the future. Storytellers say that the darkness grows considerably, blanketing Sornieth in moonlight long before the sun should rest, where dessert prevails over common dinner and tricks reign supreme.
However, that is fact. It is after they say such that they reach speculation.
Some believe that a veil grows thin on this night of All Hallow's Eve, becoming so faded that the remnants of memories can feel through the curtain and emerge into the world of the living. While most are of all benevolent nature, some who crawl into the waking realm seek sins, though such mention of these spirits are alone but a myth.
One such tale manifests in the form a witch who dwells on the edge of the territory belonging to Clan Hollowsong, who slips into the shadows before one can catch a glimpse of her. They say she steals the souls of children whom wander foolishly away from their predetermined route, whether that be a corner they must turn for more candy or those who feel courageous enough to brave the bamboo forests on Halloween.
There also lives a tale that traverses only the halls of Castle Duskhallow, but such secrets must be kept within said halls. Those who escape with the knowledge and seek to spread it have a terrible fate brought upon them, and yet again, even that is an obscured telling.
