Kioevu wanted to say 'well I see something,' only his didn't. Tall waving grass, the occasional tree... Nothing more than that.

"Alright. All that's left to do is to keep walking." She muttered and sped up, her tail waving behind her. The small cheetah sniffed the air and beside the scents of her fellow cheetahs, she seemed to be able to sniff out...
"Guys... I smell Lions... " She whispered in warning.

Lukai's ears fell and he crouched a bit as he hurried over to the fmale, sniffing the air for a moment before frowning "what are they donig out here?"
Meanwhile, Aioni sighed as she sat by herself, quickly growing bored and deciding to take a walk- maybe she'd find some prey that hadn't been there for so long. jumping to her feet, the small female wandered away from the tree and into the open in an opposite direction of the patrol.

"I-I don't know.. It seems to be the entire Northern pack..." Tsari crouched and stuck low to the ground as her ears folded and her tail wrapped around her legs snugly.
"They're never this far south... Something must've happened." She whispered. She looked back at Kioveu with worried eyes.
"We need to warn Aioni. Could you go and fetch her before she wanders off into one of their mouths? "

Kioevu flicked his tail. "I'm the fastest, of course I can catch up to her." And with that he sped off. Once he got back to their spot, he hissed her name. "Aioni! Where did you go?" He peered under leaves and bushes but she was gone. With an irritated snarl he loped off to look for her.

While she want too far, probably half a mile, Aioni was still walking upwind of the lions scent, looking for anything to use as good news, something that maybe would give their small group a little bit of hope.

Kioevu padded quietly along, hissing her name left and right.

Aioni continued forward, her ears up as she followed the scent, focused on what was out there
