"Oh, yes, that sounds marvelous!" she said. Then she looked at Toby. "You go ahead," he said, shrugging. "I'll be right here." Ed clambered up onto the vehicle. "It's a worthy goal, I very much wish my own magical skills were greater; of course I'm not an Arcane dragon but you know, sickness is very useful in its own way. And I do have a few devices of my own for dealing with... annoyances. Toby didn't want me to put any of them on our vehicle, of course, but I installed them when he wasn't looking and he hasn't made a fuss about it yet. Are you fonder of projectile weapons or beam weapons?" she asked.

It would just be a loop around the room, then a landing back at her stand. Though, technically she could say that the Skyfairer was her stand. " Well," she said, "I'm sure you might still be able to incorporate plague magic into your inventions. You just have to get creative! I cannot give you any suggestions myself, since plague magic is not something I am particularly familiar with." As to the next question, her answer was simple. "I guess, based on those choices, beam weapons. But that may be because I'm an Arcane dragon, and blasts of magical energy is something we tend to use in combat. Well, the spellcasters among us, anyway. "

She was more interested in finding her charge? Then protecting it. And maybe tinkering with it sometimes. That was how her collection of inventions, and by extension her lab, started. Good times. After flying around the room once, she flew the Skyfairer over the spot where she had parked it before. She would land it in the same way. Cut the power, then let it drift towards the ground, until it reached the default hovering position. "And that's it. I hope you had fun."

Her tail brushes it free of any dust before she sets her invention down. She hums as she stares at the bare table with just a metal tree in the middle of it. It needs something more... One can practically see the light bulb appear above her head and click on. Metal is gathered to make a new tree for each back corner of the display. The branches of the new trees meet in the middle, creating a backdrop, and Dorcha has some of the branches reach out over the bonsai tree. As if the bonsai is truly in a forest and underneath the branches of much taller trees that are blocking the light from above. An [item=ceremonial sash] is found (don't ask how) and laid upon the table and she moves it around to have it look like a river flowing through the forest. Some extra broken tungsten is set almost randomly on top of the sash. More metal is set up to look like fallen logs, with some having nuts n bolts to look like mushrooms. Some of the smaller nuts are laid across both sides of the sash to be the bank of the 'river'. Once everything is set to how she sees everything in her mind Dorcha flicks on the bonsai tree and the effect is wonderful. The lights bounce off of the backdrop and the branches above it, making different patterns as the lights dim and brighten. The broken tungsten in the river glow and darken, giving the effect of an actual flowing river. Dorcha grins wide, ignoring the sting of injuries, it's exactly how she pictured it. "Oh, that's something new," An unknown voice from behind her causes her to twist around to see who is talking. It's another Spiral and he is wearing a black fedora that is partially covering his Plague eyes. The only ones to have ever commented on her inventions is her Clan mates. So, to have this new dragon offer up some praise...well, she's not too sure how to feel. And it clicks into her head that this is what was going to happen for coming here, away from home and the familiarity of it, new dragons commenting on her inventions. Why did she think this was a good idea? Her heart is pounding in her chest as the fellow Spiral is taking in the details of both the invention and display. Is this what it's like? Not knowing how others will take her inventions? It's nerve-wracking...yet, kinda exciting. She kinda likes it. "It's not too often one sees a display given as much thought as the invention itself," The still unnamed Spiral praises. His red eyes taking in the smallest of details and while he is doing that, Dorcha is taking him in. Despite seeing all new dragons in this adventure of hers. He is the first one she's actually spent actual time around. Ignore that it's only been a minute, details. He turns and catches her staring at him, which causes him to give a slow smile. Dorcha blushes, which is thankfully hidden beneath all her bandages. The coal colored Spiral reaches forward and touches one of the wrappings, "What has happened here?" "Umm, it's nothing, just an occupational hazard," The words stumbles out and the other laughs deeply. She wants to hear that laugh more. He calms down, that lazy smile still upon his lips, "And these patches? These part of that hazard as well?" "Yes, it was something I came up with after one of my earlier inventions," Dorcha explains slightly, "It...didn't turn out so great," The smile slips from his face, "I'm sorry to hear that..." "OH! Dorcha! My name is Dorcha and it's alright, these things happen," She brushes the event away, both from her mind and the conversation. The smile returns on the others face, "I am Gul," And despite Dorcha thinking that Gul would leave after a few more moments of conversation. She is surprised and pleased that he stays with her for the rest of the faire as dragons pass by her invention. Either giving praise, criticism, or nothing at all. And if she gave off a goofy smile when he offered to fly home with her...well, she would deny it utterly and completely. **** Well....that just happened. Dorcha drags her tree over to her simple display table.

After checking carefully to make sure the control cuff works as it was programmed, the fae has spent his morning busily preparing his display table. Something round, so that plenty of dragons can gather around and see his Skycat golem from all angles. Something large enough to accommodate the festival's big dragons, but not to be rude and crowd out his neighbors. The table is set at a fairly low height, so that it forms more of a stage for attendants to look down at and see the little golem flitting about beneath them. It's covered with a simple piece of matte black cloth so as not to distract from the appearance of his invention. Finally, overhead where plenty of eyes can see, Tesla hangs a banner, made from the spare black fabric and the shiniest scrap metal he could find. It reads "The Learning Golem - A Skycat Companion For Life!". All the while, his own golem and the brand new Skycat invention have been flitting about on the tabletop, getting to know one another and showing great curiosity. Tesla's Voltspire Intruder familiar has let its existence be known once and a while, yawning from underneath the table. Around him, the atmosphere is becoming more and more charged with excitement. Tesla barely has time to dust off his paws and look at the tables around him before there's an announcement - the doors are opening and the event is starting! With a giddy grin, he hops behind the table and awaits the streams of visitors that are already heading down the aisles. He's excited enough about the judges - who else might he encounter? The tundra and his friendly grandfather? Some of the Storm Dancers? Hopefully not the ridgeback that tried to eat him in her lair... But maybe, just maybe, the Boss himself would grace the displays with his presence. No matter who or how many, Tesla was so proud of his work that he couldn't wait to show it off to whomever might like to see it.
