Day 7 Lovelace checked herself in on the Hall of Inventors spreadsheet, and assigned herself one of the free tables. Once she got there, she wasted no time putting together her invention: A) a miniature replica of the Stormcatcher's likeness, complete with lightning wings and a little voice that yelled "GET BACK TO WORK!" She sat proudly by her invention as sightseers started to wander through the hall. Then she saw Enigma fluttering above the crowd. He had brought muscovite to see her work. "Oh, wow, it looks just like Him," muscovite said, bending over to examine the miniature wooden rendering of His Many-Footedness. "But I feel more like that poor lemming right now." She indicated the Static-Charged Lemming running in its wheel, which was clearly visible in the base of the device. "It's a metaphor," Lovelace told her, trying to contain her glee. "See what happens if you bop Him on the nose." muscovite glanced around to see if anyone was looking, and then smacked the replica lightly on the head, mid-yell. "GET BACK TO--HEY, YOU'VE BEEN WORKING VERY HARD. TAKE FIVE," it said, collapsing down to a seated position. A slat opened in the side of the side of the lemming's Faraday cage, dispensing pet food into a bowl. The lemming happily leapt off the wheel and started stuffing its tiny adorable face. "Wait for it," Lovelace winked, sliding a mug up next to the side of the device. And then coffee, pure glorious coffee, poured out of a nozzle at the Stormcatcher's feet. Five minutes later, the tiny wooden icon of Stormcatcher sprang up again like a push puppet, completely unharmed. "FEELING BETTER? THEN GET BACK TO WORK!" "It's beautiful," muscovite told her. "I love it. Oh, thank you so much!" . . . . . . . .
A) A miniature replica of the Stormcatcher’s likeness. Complete with lightning wings and a little voice that yells “GET BACK TO WORK!”
After some serious deliberation, Thistledown decided to make a tiny Stormcatcher. Strangely, interspersed with the shouts of "GET BACK TO WORK!" were occasional comments about toast. Odd. No matter, it was turning out wonderfully. Thistledown was starting to feel grateful that his original invention hadn't made it, as this was turning out to be so much fun.

Randall was surprised at how many ideas popped into his head. Maybe that was a sign of a good inventor? He shrugged. Let me not think too highly of myself. Better just decide on something. I think I'll make something nice-looking. Such as... D) A mechanical bonsai tree. The idea itself made him smile. It was an admittedly silly invention, probably not too useful.. But it was perfectly nice. Maybe even lovely? So it would be sure to impress the audience. As to the judges, well, winning wasn't too important to him. Or am just telling myself this? Well, it doesn't matter. Surely I won't win so I'll just have some fun while I'm at it.

@Stormdragon
That spreadsheet you made is super nifty! But may I ask what the stars next to the RP column mean? I thought it might be scoring based on what the judges thought of our RP sections, but I'm not totally sure.
Sorry if this has already been asked and answered before. ( / w \ )

Mania gave Fulgur a incredulous look. She was more interested in making sure the machine worked instead of making it look pretty. "Come on! The judges will love it. And you'll stand out from all the other inventors." Fulgur spoke with excitement. "Fine, but it's your turn this time. I've done my part." Mania walked off, leaving Fulgur there by his lonesome. "Well, I guess I'll have to make do with what I have." Fulgur began to rumage around in a box of odds and ends.

Competition or not, Dimea had already decided on the design of her invention. She had already started to build it, too. She just needed to test it, and make any tweaks as needed.

There was nothing for her to decide, because her decision had already been made.

That meant she had extra time, didn't it? She could pile more scrap metal onto her invention to test its weight limits. Oh, and she would need to find a way to recharge the Arcane magic she used to float the device. Not everyone was an Arcane dragon, after all... Maybe slots for Arcane runestones?
