TOPIC | Middle Earth Fandom Open!!
This is an RP that @Mathilda and I started up together. We are semi-open, if you'd really like to join, please, PM either Mathilda or myself and ask permission. We would love for you to join and share your imagination with us, but we don't want it to get too busy, as we have sort of a plot to this RP. Thank you! Rules: Kind and courteous is a must. Please post at least once a week if you can, if not, just PM me ahead of time if possible and let me know! Romance is allowed, but as is FRs rules, keep it pg. Fade out when necessary and dumb down violence and gore. Original characters are encouraged. Even though this is a fandom, it's a fandom of the realm itself, not the story that we know of. No one sentence replies please, make it so that others can easily respond to what your character did, so, probably two paragraphs at the least! :D No text talk! Thankies!! The Way to a great RP is communication! The Lonely Mountain and Lake-town are where we start this adventure. Smaug has been defeated and the humans have been rebuilding the city on the lake for the past century. There's also a smaller town on the shore as well, between Lake-town and the Lonely Mountain called Path's Beginning. You have to go through this village to make it up the pathway to the entrance of the Lonely Mountain. The dwarves have retaken their rightful home in the mountain and continue to guard their treasures selfishly. The trouble with Sauron and his orc army is past. The land is once again peaceful. Or is it? It seems that other lands are befalling tough times. And other creatures and beings are migrating into Middle Earth, chased from their homelands by famines, plagues, wars and other such catastrophes. Though many come in peace, the people of Middle Earth shy away from such foreign beings, remembering all too well the horrific things their parents and they themselves in many cases had endured due to the instability of magic. The dreaded Smaug and other such creatures have scarred the hearts of the people of Middle Earth to forever distrust magic. Now, since there are so many new species migrating to Middle Earth, it leaves your imagination open to pretty much any magical creature/shapeshifting thing you can think of. Or even more humans if you wanted. Background: A long time ago, a strange pregnant woman came into the town of beginning. Some said she was a human who was impregnated by an elf, others said that she was the lover of a powerful magician. The secret of the woman was much different however, as she was actually a warg, who was taught how to change into a human to survive. She was hellios' mother. All his childhood, she taught him to hide, to love humans and to integrate into their society. She worked extremely hard for her lively son, to procure him a good life, while he was always running around, laughing like a mad dog. Hellios himself had a childhood without realizing that his situation was much more dangerous than he believed. It was in his teen years that the hunters came back for the first time with a naga. The woman, twisting and writhing wildly, was morphing in front of everybody's eyes, as she was dragged to the center of the village, where she was beheaded with glee by the chief hunter. It made the young man sick to his stomach, and finally he understood the danger that he and his mother where facing. A few years later, his mother died of a bad pneumonia during a terrible winter, leaving him a humble home and a few possessions. He then started working himself, decided to forget about the wolf in him, wanting nothing more than a normal, safe life. Only his beast soul was telling him something else, about adventure and running the hills. It was only a matter of time before something came to destroy his calm life... Other: He's an apprentice at the local tannerie, and he's the best hunter of the town. He doesn't conserve his wolf sense even in human form, making him a phenomenal tracker.

The setting is set in Middle Earth.

This land was unlike any she'd ever seen in her homeland. Her homeland had consisted mostly of dry, arid lands where hardly anything ever grew unless you traveled as far south as you could. There the land had transformed into the biggest group of trees any being could ever come across. The trees were tall enough to even shade the largest of dragons. There was an excess of water, so much so that the land would flood at times, and the air was always so humid drops of water would collect on a sleeping dragon and make them shimmer in the sunlight. IF you could find sunlight under the canopy of those trees. It was the preferred mating grounds for fellow dragons, but they would never raise their young there. Where the largest of dragons could have lived there peacefully, smaller ones had enemies that were larger than even they were. Such was the way in that land. We had called it, Water Forest.

But in this land, so far she hadn't seen any long expanses of desert, or anything close to the Water Forest. She had chosen to leave her homeland to stop from being hunted so relentlessly by the humans there. She'd only made it because she had found islands on the way that she had been able to rest on. The food there was scarce though, as they weren't large enough to hold many creatures other than rodents and reptiles. None from her homeland knew of those islands, otherwise I'm sure they'd brave the waters to look for new homelands as well. She was glad the humans didn't know.

She had landed on the edge of a cliff that overlooked the body of water she had just traversed and climbed down to where she had seen a cave and had nestled there for a couple of days to regain her strength. She was hungry though, and that feeling was clawing at her insides like a beast trying to break free. She needed to hunt, but she had no idea what kind of animals lived here and whether they'd be any good. Back home her main diet had ranged from camels and horses raised by the locals to tinier prey like rabbits, snakes and even on occasion a human if they were trying to kill her first.

She had taken flight from her cliff-side cave and began to soar over the lands. There was lush green fields of grass! Grass was extremely scarce in her homeland, and only the richest people lived in those places, raising and selling their horses there. But the grass here looked so much greener and healthier. Within minutes she had seen a group of animals that were grazing in a field. They were small, white and fluffy. She had no idea what these things were. They were huddled so close together that she'd be able to grab two at once if she timed it correctly. She swooped down out of the sky and grabbed one of the fluffy creatures with both of her front claws and grabbed a second around it's neck with her teeth. She felt it go limp immediately from the force of her jaw as the other one she was holding fought to get free. She killed that one too so she wouldn't draw out it's suffering. She found that so far, though their blood was delicious on her tongue, she was going to have to eat around the fluff. Already she could feel some of it sticking between her teeth. She grabbed her two prizes one in her back talons and the other in her front.

It was an awkward take-off but after a couple tries she made it. If these creatures had been any bigger, she wouldn't have been able to carry them both. She surveyed the scattered herd, it's occupants still panicking and felt a jolt of dismay as she saw a little human run off into the woods. She had hoped humans didn't live here. She returned to her rocky bluff, ate and fell back asleep. She knew she'd have to leave the area tomorrow since a human had seen her. She moved restlessly in her sleep.

@Mathilda
((The islands she had used as resting places were Tol Morwen, Tol Fuin and Himling. This was just an introduction to my character, you can introduce Hellios in your post. I left open the little boy so he could start rumors of a dragon sighting. I'm not sure exactly where Hellios lives at current, so I wasn't sure if the rumors would reach him right away or days later.))
