Serkan rubbed his fingers together as he stood and turned his head to her. He seemed to be either confused or annoyed behind his dark T-visor. He then took a few paces toward the ferns, trying to peer through the dense underbrush.

A crumpled heap of cloth covered a writhing creature. The creature was tiny, maybe only a foot or two in height. As the cloth was slowly worked off, a purple scaled alien with large, pointed ears stood up. The creature wore close to nothing, with a few beads around its neck. Multiple piercings adorned the ears, and the large green eyes were bug-like. It stared up at Serkan, holding up one hand, that only had three fingers with three long, sharp claws. it's feet were almost exactly like its hands, three appendages and three claws on each finger/toe. There was no visible nose, and the mouth was small. Dark purple tattoos surrounded each eye.
Flynn cautiously peeked over Serkan's shoulder. "What is it?" She whispered.

I have found,
Broken Pieces,
All around,
A shattered heart.
Serkan looked at the creature inquisitively. It's eye level was about to his knees. "It is... Keari," Serkan replied. He looked at the alien again and raised his own long-fingered (and sharp) hand, saying, "Do you... speak... common tongue?"

After shouting something neither Serkan nor Flynn caught, the creature said, "Aye. You are awful weird. Whence you come?" Its voice is rushed, and its eyes are bright.
"Er... You're the alien, you talk." Flynn said, silently slinking behind Serkan.

"Far... from your, eh... planet is... where I'm... from," Serkan replied. Not bothering to say he was a unique and only creature of his own 'kind'. He stepped back to allow the Keari some room then turned to the east. "We should... leave."
Without another word he started walking away.

"You still look familiar. Come with you. May?" The Keari asked.
Flynn immediately said, "Of course!" She was starting to like this odd alien, whose reptilian tail began knocking small trees over. She glanced at Serkan, and added slyly, "What's another alien?"

Serkan waved his hand, gesturing that he didn't care if it came or not. He stopped suddenly and raised his hand for silence as he peered around the small clearing. Something was up ahead, he thought. He could... feel that there was something ahead. He wondered if the other two felt this way.
There were more than one, he felt. Though he did not see, he was certain that they were unfriendly...

The Keari paused. "There." It pointed, just a few yards ahead. "Creature." Its eyes narrowed, and a look of disgust shown. "Kill. No deserve to live."
Flynn scooted to the back of the group. "I don't kill." She murmured.

At that moment a shriek was heard and a nasty creature leaped into the clearing, right next to Flynn. It's rough skin was cracked and leaked lines of lava-like fluid all over its body. It was squat, with a flat face and thick body. It almost looked toad-like, if it didn't have a short, heavy tail covered in spikes. Three more jumped out into the clearing, surrounding the group and snarling like rabid dogs.
Serkan stepped back, startled. What were these... things?

Flynn yelped and jumped back, shuddering as she did so.
The Keari snarled. "Beasts. Deserve to die." Its claws twitched ever so slightly as it crouched, growling. "Kill them swift and quick. No life left."
