Serkan hesitated, then nodded and carefully made his way toward the sunset. As they climbed over the crest of a grassy hill, a large ruin stretched out before them. It looked like it had once been a great city, but had been forgotten in the endless crawling of time. The rocks were mossy and smooth and the wood that had once held up buildings crumbled in decay. There was no sign of life.

Sar gazed at the scene without thought. The ruins of an old fort back on his own world flashed across his vision for half a second. He sighed then noticed something very different. The main road into the ruined city looked like it had been cleared of the larger pieces of rumble. Curious.
He walked to the entrance and stopped, his sharp eyes scanning everything.

Flynn gulped and turned around. "Well, nothing to see here!" She took a step back, but paused, looking over her shoulder. Her hair stood on end, making her ears and tail look extra fluffy.

Roy sighed. Ruins were never a good sign. She gently walked towards where Sar was, and raised an eyebrow at him. "Whaddaya see, boy?" She asked in a teasing manner, as if he was a dog. She looked around. The road... it wasn't like the rest of the place. It was slightly cleaned, so someone could get through easily.

Jhini stared on in disinterest. No humans, again! Were they ever going to have a real meal? She sat down and crossed her arms, watching. Her fingers clicked against each other as she stared at the city.

Sar growled, but said nothing. He knelt near one of the broken walls that edged the road and ran his gauntlet over the smooth stone. A small glint of light caught his eye. He looked down and saw nothing. Slowly, carefully, he moved his hand down.
Three arrows bulleted toward them from farther down the road. One was harmlessly deflected by Sar's curved pauldron, the other two narrowly missed his and Roy's heads. He jumped back instinctively and shouted, "Tripwire!"

Serkan watched closely as the vampire and fire mage inspected the road. He hadn't even realized it had been different. When the arrows flew and Sar shouted, his eyes scanned all around them. Traps meant that there was something inhabiting the ruins, and that that something didn't want visitors.
He glanced at the map. The third reactor was somewhere close, whether in the ruins or not, he couldn't tell. He called for the group to come closer.
"All in.. favor of... exploring," He spoke. "Raise your... hand."

Roy shrieked, and the arrow closest to her burst into flames. She immediately smothered it, causing only a large black spot in the grass. She looked back up at Serkan and shrugged, then raised her hand. She knew Flynn would want to, and, once again, she felt responsible for the weird thing.

Flynn immediately raised her hand. "We go!" She said, even though a few of the party hadn't raised a hand. She grinned and laughed, then waited for everyone else.

Jhini shook her head. "Not human, not worth it. Leave?" She asked, but it still sounded like a statement. She crossed her arms dubiously, then looked away from the group.

Serkan sighed as he saw the dark warrior raise his hand. Three to one. He nodded and said, "Stay alert... and close."
He walked into the ruins, watching where he placed his feet.

Sar smiled. For some reason, forgotten tombs and places filled with traps were exciting and alluring to him. He moved the front of the group and kept an eye out for more tripwire and traps. When he saw one, he notified the others and carefully stepped over or around. Slowly, they made their way deeper into the ruins with no sign of life, but with increasing traps, some of which had been accidentally activated by a careless step or stumble. The sun was below the horizon now, casting the stones into deep shadow. The argonian moved even slower now.
The earth beneath them suddenly began to tremble and a loud, savage roar echoed through the ruins, stopping the party in their tracks. Sar's heart leaped. The roar sounded dragonic.

@HydraTamer (I ping you!)(And I know the next character I'm bringing in. >:3 )

Flynn was the one to shriek this time, and she nervously stepped behind Serkan. She paused, though. Something about it sounded kinda familiar. Eh, who was she kidding? She had run into hundreds of dragons during her trips. Another one was probably just stuck or something.

"A dragon?" Roy said excitedly. Her own dragon had kept her company. Maybe this dragon would be willing to negotiate instead of killing them. She loved the dragons, all of them. Some could get annoying, but, hey, got to take the good with the bad! She hesitated. What if this was another trap? She worried for everyone, even the stupidly-dressed one.

Jhini jumped, then scurried to the back of the group. Her eyes were wide as she hissed angrily. What stupid creature would haunt this place? Find a city to ravage, this stupid crumbling pit would never be good for anything; food, shelter, heat. It was a stupid place to remain.

Multiple shouts followed the roar. It sounded almost like a battle was being fought a block or two away. Sar grinned at the thought of some fun. The sun was down. Perfect.
"Anyone want to come?" He asked maliciously as he convulsed. With a shriek, his monster form emerged and he leaped into the air. His skeletal wings and blood magic doubled the height of his leap, making him soar higher than the ruin walls.
His vampiric, night vision allowed him to see a dark dragon, unlike any he had seen before, being tied down by a dozen men. The dragon strained against the bonds, throwing several men around. Sar assumed these men had woke the creature up, and 'accidentally' aggravated it.

Serkan backpedaled at the sight of the lizard's second form. He watched him for a moment then glanced at the rest of the group. They seemed unsure. He wasn't sure what to do either. He was not created to be a leader.

Flynn looked up at Serkan and said, "I'll go if you go, Serkan." She really enjoyed him. He cared, in a weird confusing way. She wished he would want to go, because she hated to miss any part of action, but was still terrified at the thought of seeing a possibly mad dragon. She rubbed her hands together nervously.

Roy shrugged and said, "Let's go, guys. There's no point in letting the lizard have all the fun." She struggled over a piece of rubble and made her way up a hill. She gasped at what she saw. A dragon was being held down by a bunch of humans. She clenched her hands, and fire formed around them.

Jhini growled, trying to be fierce. Her eyes glinted angrily as she said, "No human, no point. Stupid idea." She was firm, but two others had already gone up and were watching something. She crossed her arms.

Kai roared again, his eyes and mind still foggy. Something was holding him down, and someone was shouting. He jerked his head and neck up, loosening the ropes. He blinked his bright blue eyes, the scene around him slowly taking shape.
He instinctively scrambled away from the three men who were closest to his head, as each were holding painful looking swords. The movement, as well as his wings unfurling, knocked the rest of the ropes off. He howled before launching himself into the sky, trying to get away. But rope caught his hind leg and slammed him into the ground again.
Dizzy, he shook his head.

Serkan sighed, "Alright." He followed Roy with quick steps, motioning for Flynn and Jhini to follow. He had never seen a 'dragon' before, but the grey creature before them certainly looked fierce. The humans, however, looked like crude, everyday bandits. Serkan watched curiously, completely unsure on what to do.

Sar watched with slight amusement as the men tried to wrangle the dragon, which he now could see that it possessed a strange silver spine with blue accents. Watching them made him hungry, and being hungry made him mad. With a bat-like screech he swooped down on the bandits.

Flynn scrambled up the hill and gasped. Something in her mind clicked, and the dragon automatically looked familiar. "Hey, we gotta help him!" She said, her eyes wide. Her tail twitched excitedly, and she glanced slyly at Roy. The dragon made her remember the first time she had created her own character. She grinned before turning back to watch the fray.

Jhini growled, but quickly ran up. Humans! Wonderful, perfectly good prey! She noticed the bat-thing swooping down for one, and she growled and sped to it. She was probably only a third of the human's height, but she tackled it to the ground and slashed with her claws. She looked triumphantly at the bat-thing. Deal with it.

Roy muttered something angrily before shouting, "You'd better let him go!" She climbed down the other side of the hill, fire forming in the air around her. "You can either put the rope down, or I can burn the rope, which will, in turn, burn you."
