My family was never really big on the Christmas spirit (we're more of a New Year's day family), but I remember all of us kids would get a little assortment of holiday-themed treats on the 25th! My favorite was always the ferrero rochers -- not always in this packaging, but this is what comes to mind! I remember thinking these were special seasonal Christmas candies as a little kid (probably bc of the gold foil), but I soon realized they're pretty common! I know now that ferrero rochers aren't really Christmas-exclusive, but they always remind me of the holidays whenever I see them in stores. I hope the holidays treat you well, and thank you for hosting this! :)

this is a "roscon de reyes" it is a spongy cake with nuts and candied fruit on top that you eat on the 6th of january (epiphany day/Three kings day)
in the cake there is a figurine and a bean hidden. whoever gets the figurine in their slice is the "king" and gets a silly crown on their head and whoever gets the bean has to pay for the roscon
