Icarus smiles and thanks Ria, skimming over the terms of the contract, before reaching the conditions. A [i]Whisper[/i], huh… She wasn’t the biggest fan of the Mire (it was far too humid), but at least she’d have the elemental advantage over the target. She nods to herself before signing the contract and bidding Ria farewell.
She organises her tools before setting off. Potions, weapons and traps. Icarus preferred capturing rather than slaying - it was just easier, quicker. The Scarred Wasteland was quite the journey from her homeland in the south. Better get the hunt done and over with as quickly as possible.

Argh, where was that darn Whisper?! It had been, what, several hours of digging through the swampy mess of the Mire, but nothing. Endless podids, psywurms, croakers, kamaitachi, but not a single Whisper. Not even a Lion's Mane Seeker. Where the heck were they hiding?
She grumbles to herself. Surely it couldn’t be [i]that[/i] hard to find a bird? She trusted her eyesight well enough - it had never failed her, and she was pretty good at finding food for the clan. So there was no way that she’d just [i]missed[/i] those birds. Perhaps some dragon had come here right before and wiped out the whole population, looking for a Lion’s Mane or Whisper Emu? It was plausible. Either way, it wasn’t the best situation for her.
Just as she was about to turn in for the day - the sun had already set, and she was pretty darn hungry (swamp plants weren’t really her taste) - a dark blob flashed across her vision. Definitely not an Acid Ant, she didn’t see any of that eyeburning green. A Whisper, hopefully? Icarus didn’t dare let her hopes rise too much, but… It was the closest thing she’d seen resembling the target.
Icarus turned and gave chase in the general direction that she’d seen it go. She trusted her speed well enough. Sure enough, up ahead a rustle of bushes, and the disappearing of a shadow of what [i]hopefully was a Whisper[/i]. She sped up in excitement, leaping through the Mire. She jumped through the leaves, reaching an opening, and…

So that’s where all the birds went… There was, what, about fifty of them crowded in a circle, like some sort of cryptic demon summoning. Well, it was safe to say that she was [i]not going to come out of this without injury[/i].

Scrambling to put some distance between himself and the desk, Ria made for the intercom. "Hands on the Station Deck! We've got a bounty that needs transporting."
Turning back to Fury, eh gave the agitated Hunter a once over before sighing. "I'll send in the request now. you look like you could use some rest. Best go get yourself checked at the med ward and take some time to recuperate."[/center]
