I want to clarify here: in requesting that users do not adopt dragons from this thread for the sole purpose of exalting, I am
not requesting or demanding that they never exalt dragons they receive from here. Not only would it be
against the ToS for me to do so, but I also have no desire or reason to ask this of anyone.
Once the dragon leaves my lair, it is
yours to do with what you want, and
that includes exalting. I have nothing at all against exalting in general; I myself exalt dragons relatively frequently, both those that I breed and those that I purchase. It is a necessary mechanic which helps the site run (not to mention, it's profitable and fun).
The reason I ask this is because I try to put dragons on this thread that I think people might enjoy. I put the dragons here, potentially forgoing the profit I could get from selling or exalting them myself, because I want people to have a window of time to grab these dragons if they like them. I especially want this to be accessible to newer users who may not yet have the funds to buy many dragons that they like (though, of course, any user can adopt dragons here, regardless of account age!).
The intention of this thread is not to give away free fodder. Fodder can be purchased for very cheap on the auction house. In giving away dragons, I am asking that users adopt in good faith; if you are specifically looking for fodder, I ask that you look elsewhere and leave these dragons for those who might like them. If they do not get adopted, I will exalt them myself.
Of course, people fall out of love with dragons or, for one reason or another, decide they no longer want them in their lair. That's okay and completely normal! It could happen long after getting a dragon or just a few days later. That's fine! Sell it, exalt it, do whatever you like. It's
your dragon. I just ask that when you request a dragon, you do so because you like it.
Thank you for understanding!
