@Lykantos, you won: Lithari Although Lithari is of the Earth, who are known for their reverence of history and their long, unwavering memories, she has always had a secret fondness for the young and exciting. Little growing things like flowers, which were as beautiful as they were temporary - here one season and gone the next - were so delightfully different from the solidity of her native element. That interest was what drove the Imperial to the Shrieking Wilds deep within the Viridian Labyrinth, where she made herself at home among Nature. The flower apparel Lithari constantly wears (lovingly crafted and enchanted to always bloom in recognition of the traditional Earthen love for long-lasting things) were housewarming gifts from her new clan to mark her acceptance into the Wilds. Daisies symbolize new beginnings, they told her, and the flower has remained her favourite to this day. As she grew accustomed to her new life, Lithari soon developed a fascination with mechanical works from watching the clan blacksmith and mechanic create wonderous - and occasionally exploding - devices. When she bonded with a Workshop Monitor (that everyone else considered a nuisance or downright creepy), the inventor pair gave her a thoughtful look. She thought nothing of it until a month later they presented her a set of intricate looking gadgets she had no name for, all in gleaming brass and vibrant blue. So you match your little friend there, the Mechanic nodded to her floating familiar. Makes you stronger and fly faster too, said the Blacksmith, fire eyes aglow and radiating heat even outside the forge. Try it and see! So Lithari did, warmed by their generosity. She was no battle hardened warrior, but with the ensorcelled equipment (apparently called the Mechanical Valkyrie) she felt lighter and stronger than ever. She started flying out on patrols, going further and further, until one day a Spiral darted in front of her, so suddenly that without the heightened reflexes granted by the Valkyrie there would have been a painful crash. Who are you? the dark dragon asked. In the fading light of dusk his midnight scales were almost invisible. With a start Lithari realized she had flown far beyond her clan territory. The plants around them were looked more purple than green, thick with natural shadows and dimly lit with the ethereal glow of mushrooms. My apologies, I flew too far and got lost, the Imp replied. I'll leave your neck of the Woods now. A huff of laughter from behind startled her. Twisting around, she saw a Nocturne seemingly materialize out of the growing darkness. No offense taken, the new dragon said in the exact same tone Lithari had used. But I wonder if you didn't wander here on purpose? You have a certain look about you. The Nocturne matched her wingbeats to Lithari's perfectly, purple eyes gazing into brown. Don't scare her away, you, a long body broke the staring contest. Seeing the unnerved look on the Imperial's face, the Spiral hummed, Why don't I lead you out of here? No tricks, Shadow's honor. Without waiting for a reply the lithe dragon flew away, leaving Lithari to speed after her to keep her within sight. The Nocturne laughed behind them, calling out with playful cheer, see you again, friend! Later, long after the she left the Tangled Wood, Lithari found herself restless. Why had she gone so far from the Labyrinth? It couldn't be that the strange Nocturne was right, right? She wasn't going to abandon her new home so quickly! But the brief encounter haunted her, and on every patrol her gaze would be drawn inexorably beyond the Shrieking Wild's borders. It was the clan's Light acolyte that confronted her. All things have their time. If the Shadows call to you it is no crime to heed your heart, were the words, free of judgement. Even so, Lithari dragged her talons about it for days, guilty at the very thought of leaving after all they'd given her. But wanderlust won over, and eventually she declared her intent to migrate. On the day of departure Lithari came to the two inventors, intending to return the Mechanical Valkyrie which had served her so faithfully. To her surprise, however, both adamantly refused. Do you wish you'd never met us? Or been a part of this clan? they asked. What? Of course not! I'll cherish my time here always, she retorted with vehemence. Then keep it, came the response from the Mechanic. As a memento. Besides, it was made for you, the Blacksmith coiled around her briefly, wouldn't fit either of us. No one would take the daisies back, either. Daisies represent new beginnings, they reminded her, and you're about to embark on one. Take them, and may your new life be as fruitful as the Gardens. They urged her to bring all the personal possessions she'd accumulated throughout her time with them. Deeply touched, Lithari bowed low. Just as she turned to take off, a whirl of shining blue barred her way. The Workshop Monitor that had been her familiar for months evidently wanted to come along. Smiling, the Imperial picked it up gently with her claws, gave one last bow to her now former clan, and leapt into the sky, the Mechanical Valkyrie gleaming in the sun. Yes, she thought, I will remember my time here. The vivid colours of the Labyrinth passed by in a blur. Lithari was an Earth dragon, after all - they treasured history, and had long memories. She would start a new chapter of life without fear, as surely as her daisies bloomed. Postverta.
Where did she come from? (fabulae meaning story)
Thus she didn't know she was the only one,Fabulae the current clan he was living in was in the very same spot Postverta was standing,He saw the red string as well.He was confused, maybe it was only true to be a myth,it was only his story telling vision right?

Postvera didn't know what to do,she sat down quiet, she thought she could've met someone special, someone who understood her.Fabulae also sat down, head tilted up,not taking any notice of the chaos around him.

Postvera finally shook her head, she was a fool for imagining some red piece of string that lead her to nowhere.

As she got up and was about to leave magic hour struck, the sky turned a hazy, cloudy like red and she froze, the land forming around her,She was standing infront of the black and white spiral. The red string now physically connected and they both looked up at each other.

The string can stretch and tangle, but never break.
of course it would work..after all when you do story tell it all comes from the past?

Time seemed to make favour for them, they were together that easily, but is time really that geneorous? They may live together writing their own tales..

But the red string of fate is just a myth, who said...it couldn't break?

Time broke them apart.

Time pulled them together

Take it like this...
she was the counterpart of time, while fabulae was the counterpart of life and death, stories.

though they work together, they tug and pull at each other, and thats what happened.

They got onto each others nerves, they began to slowly hate each other over and over, the multiple fights they got into.

You can't put time and a story together and expect it to work out, because time does its own thing.

Postvera hated fabulae, she was sick of him, sick of the world she was living in,she knew fabulae could change the whole fact that the place they were living in was a hell, she was sick of how intolerable he was and how insensetive he was.

Time made room, the world made room for two lovers, but in the end they tore at each others hearts. She saw the red string of fate again, but it was torn and ragged, she was lied to,the red string of fate could always break...

Postvera prayed to the stars that she could go back to the olden days, when she was alone, again.

Be careful what you wish for they say, what she said herself.

Time returned Postvera back to her place, just once...fabulae was lost, postvera had disappeared,he knew why and he regretted it.

She regretted it,Postvera missed fabulae and his personality even if it hurt her,she prayed to the stars again, but time didn't make room.

she was stuck,in the time where her beloved was not yet a thing.
Far away from her beloved.

The red string of fate broke.

She felt so alone...she weeped for days and hated herself for what she did, slowly over time she began to forget,so did fabulae, she tried again and again to try draw his face, and in the end only drew hers in a love heart shape.

She had forgotten him,He had forgotten her.

They live in peace, now in their...dedicated times.

Little did she know she still had a red piece of string tied to one of her head feathers
Little did he know he had still had a red piece of string tied to his horns.

they could meet in heaven

and be together again.
