This means that you get first dibs on the next batch of hatchlings, and you can look through them and decide which one to adopt before anyone else. Only a certain amount of players may purchase these Tickets at a time. [b]This is not necessary, as you are not required to buy a Ticket.[/b] The reason for these tickets is to support the Hatchery.

Oh, hello! Welcome to Swamplurk Hatchery. At this Hatchery, we try to find loving homes for dragons. All dragons are free! 
[VIP] Members will get priority over adoptions.
Unfortunately, I will have to exalt or sell unadopted Nature dragons because I simply do not have enough lair space to house them for long.
Some of these dragons will be on cooldown from hibernating.
