[/size] [color=darkblue]On Earth these plants are part of the [i]Lithops[/i] family, and are a type of succulent native to Southern Africa. Their distinctive pebble appearance allows them to bend into the bare rocky scrub lands they are typically found on - known as "veld".[/color] [color=purple]On Sornieth these plants only appear during the [b]Night of the Nocturne[/b], the two week festival at the end of the year celebrating the discovery and proliferation of the Nocturne breed of dragons. Why do they only appear then? Some scholars believe the magics that fueled the mimicry abilities of Nocturnes soaks into the ground and affects the growth and physical forms of the flora and fauna during this time.
