I fell completely for this lil gal! I'm not 100% settled on a name, I'll be honest, but I'm pretty sure I would want to go with Verandi. Not super confident in my lore writing skills, here, but this would be the basic story I'd go with :'D Hopefully it's alright, I think it should hit the word count? Idk, tbh.

Born in a lush world filled to the brim with magic, Verandi was lucky. It was safe, she had the warmth of the world and love from a family to ease her into life after she wiggled out of her egg.
Magic, though, is unpredictable. And sometimes things go wrong.
It wasn't noticed, at first, because there was nothing to notice. Verandi seemed like any other hatchling, curious and a bit naive and reasonably clumsy - if a bit too easily excited, perhaps. But a few days after she'd hatched, there was a shift. It began with dreams, strange and unsettling ones. Words and images and things strung together, but too much for her to comprehend.
And there didn't seem to be any sense to it. There was nothing physically wrong with her, nor was there anything seemingly wrong mentally, but the poor hatching was distraught. The dreams crept into reality, flashing before her even when awake after only a scarce week. Reality became a concept hard to grasp and Verandi struggled to make sense of much at all, afraid and confused and not sure what was going on.
She saw it days before it happened. A letter, fluttering from the heavens above and drifting down on a summer breeze. Words from a strange clan, far away - but ones that, apparently, knew what was happening to Verandi. Ones that had one like her, in their midst, one that could help the little hatchling with her confusing skills.
Despite being young still, Verandi knew it like a hum in her bones that fate wanted it so. And though it was frightening, who was she to refuse fate?
