My favorite animals are dolphins so I thought I would share some fun facts!

Dolphins Are Carnivores.
Dolphins Only Sleep with Half of Their Brain.
Dolphins Live 20 to 50 years.
Some Whales are Actually Dolphins.
A Dolphin Can Swim More than 20MPH.
Dolphins Do Not Have Hair.

Coca-Cola was invented by a pharmacist named John S. Pemberton in 1886 as a treatment for most common ailments. His bookkeeper, Frank Robinson, names the drink and writes it down in the loopy, flowing handwriting that became known as the brand’s logo. The drink was based on cocaine from the coca leaf and caffeinated extracts from a kola nut – hence the name, Coca-Cola.

Thank you for another raffle! Here's a fun fact: The myth of the jackalope is speculated from an actual, biological virus! It is called the papilloma virus, which causes an infected rabbit or hare to grow short to medium curled, gnarled horns made of keratin from the cranium. It can grow from any part of the skull, not just the top of the head where "antlers" would grow. I went to an Oddities and Curiosities Expo today, and there was a traveling museum, The Mutations Museum! It was a small taxidermy museum displaying some examples of mutations in animals, including a rabbit with the papilloma virus, where I learned about it today. [emoji=obelisk laughing size=1]

Did you know the entire plot of Something Rotten the musical?
Well you're about to learn, so watch out for spoilers!

We have Nicholas and Nigel Bottom, the Bottom brothers who are young playwrights in renaissance England. They live in poor conditions, the two of them and Nick's wife Bea Bottom.
Nick really hates William Shakespeare (he sings a whole musical number about it) who is the most popular writer, while Nigel secretly admires Shakespeare.
They're struggling against Shakespeare for popularity, and they're not doing so well. Their theatre is about to be destroyed, and their only patron is Shylock, a Jewish man (it's illegal to be sponsored by a Jew). Also, Nick is sexist towards his wife who wants to be his 'right hand man'.

Well Nick Bottom has a genius idea to see a soothsayer to predict what the next big theatrical hit is going to be, so he uses the family money to hire Notradamus, who predicts that musicals are going to be very popular, through song.
Nick attempts and fails to write a musical about the Black Death. Unsurprisingly, it doesn't work, so he goes back to Notradamus asking about Shakespeare's next big play.
Notradamus answers "Omelette", so Nick and Nigel work their bottoms off (haha?) to write "Omelette the musical", only to end up fighting over it, and worsening their relationship.
During their squabble, Nigel falls in love with Portia, (a religious guy's pretty daughter who likes to read) and then gets rejected and cast away by the religious dad, and writes a whole tragic poem which later gets turned into Hamlet. Pretty productive poet, huh?
Meanwhile, Shakespeare has caught word of Nick's plan and has infiltrated their theatre, to steal their ideas. He uses Nigel and Nick's bad relationship to steal 'not-yet-Hamlet' and runs off, leaving the Bottom brothers to put together a highly-anticipated comedy musical "omelette".
They make up, perform, and then find out what Shakespeare has done, but are also exposed for being sponsored by a Jew and also using a soothsayer to 'steal' Shakespeare's ideas.

So they go to court. Bea (the 'right-hand-wife') poses as a lawyer and gets them out of being hung, instead the entire family (including Portia by the way, she's one of them now) is banished to America.
They go to America, they sing about America, hooray.

Also Shakespeare sings an epic song about writers block.


So yeah, there you have it. Whether you wanted to or not, you have learned multiple paragraphs of useless information, thank you for coming to my tedtalk.
