When I was little we used to slide from our chicken house down a tiny slope, past our front door, around the house corner and down to the tiny parking place, down to the driveway and over the road and continue down a very steep and long (and bumpy) hill until we purposefully stopped. We could continue down the steepest part and trough some sharp swings and end up 3-400m further down, but we didn't because it would be so hard to walk all the way up again.
The ting Ilike most about winter is playing outside :)

Snow is beautiful and peaceful especially when it layers and outlines tree branches. I used to live in the upper peninsula of Michigan and when Lake Superior froze, it was really fun to go hiking on the ice glaciers that formed. There is also a pretty epic Winter Carnival up there where students make large snow sculptures. I really miss that place sometimes.
Also, here is a picture of my most winter looking dragon.

@juxta13 I usually don’t like the snow and ice because it really makes my joints and body hurt. But this year I got a dog from the pound and he never really got to see snow since he’s only about a year and so old. So I got to watch him discover the magic of snow and how much fun he had running and jumping in it and it made me love it a bit more to see him so happy ??

@yoshino - I love those little birdy footprints! We mostly just get cat, racoon, and squirrel prints here.
@Martinique - Great story. I grew up in a house on a hill and used to love sledding right down, across the one-lane road, and into the field across the way.
There was one year the snow got all the way to the top of the fence in our back yard and then melted a bit on top and then froze solid. We could almost walk on it like @amotleycrew said, but then we would fall through. Our little dog never fell through, though, and thought it was great fun to walk right over the fence when nobody could chase him!
Now we're in a rather busy, flat area, and I would love to be able to find just a small patch of undisturbed snow like @ExasperatedMom was talking about.
I don't suppose I can get away with just commenting on other people's posts, can I?
I was going to try to post my best ice dragon, but against @Tynnk, they aren't very ice!
I wish I had a friend from the ic flight so I could just say nice things about them. Anyone here from ice? I think it's great that they managed to get dominance for their festival week. Way to go ice! How about a cool ice sculpture?

Ice - Snow - not 2 of my favorite things unless I don't have to go out in them. One year however we had an ice storm. The whole town stopped lol, but it was beautiful the next day - everything encased in 1/4 inch of ice...
