Basically, I recently discovered the Raffles forum, and have entered a few, and now I want to give back. So @Nyxidos and I are going to use this thread to raffle off some dragons. Hopefully we can all have fun and enjoy this thread together!
First: The Rules
1 - This thread is a G rated hang out. If a 3 year old shouldn't say it, please don't type it. Thanks!
2 - Please be respectful of other people in this thread. Do not insult them, their dragons, their questions, and yes, that includes us. Please do not insult us, and please do not be rude to anyone.
3 - FOLLOW ALL FLIGHT RISING RULES AND REGULATIONS. Shouldn't have to be said, saying it anyhow.
4 - No Drama, please. If you have an issue with someone, please take it up in private messages, or contact myself if it has to do with the thread, or an FR Mod if need be. Let's keep this environment friendly.
5 - Please do not Exalt these dragons or sell/trade them to anyone you know will exalt them. This is to give these dragons loving homes. If you win and do not wish any dragons, let us know withing 24 hours of being pinged/messaged about winning and we will roll another winner, and you will have the option of moving half your tickets to the next drawing. (This is to discourage people from being grandfathered into raffles down the line with a million tickets, to keep it fair when a really hot dragon comes up)
6 - Anyone who breaks any rules may receive a warning, a refund, or loose all rights to all tickets without a refund at the sole discretion of Nyxidos and myself. We will do our best to be fair, but short of FR staff and the LAW, our rulings are final. It is my hope that this will never ever come into play.
How to get tickets:
There are a number of ways to get tickets, you can buy them, trade for them, and "earn" them for free with thread presence. Some methods are once a day, some are as often as you wish and some... are random. Please see below for details.
To receive any free tickets, you must first buy at least 1 for which ever raffle is current.
Paid tickets:
You may buy tickets with Gems, Treasure, or Elemental Holiday currency of any sort at the following prices:
Gems: 1 for 1
Treasure: 500 treasure a ticket
Elemental Holiday currency: All Seeing-Shrooms and Magical Shards are each worth 2 tickets, all other Elemental Currency can be purchased at a 1 for 1 ratio.
Special deals if you are buying a ticket:
You must state in the message which deal or deals you are using, if you forget, I will not go back and add tickets later. Yes, you may use more than one deal at a time.
Every five tickets you buy IN THE SAME TRANSACTION earns you one extra ticket, even if you pay some in gems, some in treasure, some in holiday currency. So long as it is all in the same order form, with all the payment in the same message, you get your extra tickets. There is no limit to how many tickets you may earn this way.
Bardess LOVES Palindromes. It's actually kind of creepy. Give me a number that is the same backwards and forwards in the number of tickets you are ordering at once, and I will double your order free! With two restrictions:
1 - it must be a number three or more digits.
2 - When the number is doubled it must still be a palindrome.
3 - free tickets from any other order are added AFTER this. If you decline any offers, or in any other way calculate it so THAT total is still a palindrome, I will bump you up to a higher palindrome of my choosing, without any additional cost.
Bardess loves fun numbers, and number sequences. Order a number of tickets that is part of an established numerical sequence (you have to tell me what it is, so I can look it up and verify) and I will throw in some bonus tickets. A hint - 1234 is kind of boring, and very Spaceballs; where as 1123 will make Bardess smile. Especially if you know why.2 - When the number is doubled it must still be a palindrome.

If you belong to the Water or Arcane Flights, say so when you buy your ticket for some random number of free tickets!
Tickets for Trade:
Any hoard with a sell back between 800 - 1000 will get you one ticket
Any hoard a sell back between 1000 - 2000 will get you 2 tickets
Any hoard a sell back between 2000+ will get you 5 tickets. Mostly because Bardess does not know if such items exist.
Gene Scrolls - We loooooove these! Especially Smoke and Circuit. 200 tickets for these genes, 100 tickets for any others we do not yet have. (We may still award 50 tickets, even if we do, so feel free to ask.)
Dragons! Nyxidos loves training up dragons to send to the Arcanist (Space Dad), and Bardess.... has a weakness for keeping and loving dragons. So any adult dragon that you want to trade for tickets, will net you 300 tickets, but the dragon MIGHT get re-homed, sent to Space Dad, kept by either of us, or added to the raffle, you have no say. You will, however, get extra tickets if you make us fight (Not real fighting, no drama) over who gets to keep the pretty. A warning though, that will be hard, Nyxidos and I have very different tastes, lol.
Free ticket time!
REMEMBER - you must have bought at least one ticket (or traded for it) in order to qualify for a free ticket!
First off - Bardess and Nyxidos may, at their discretion, at any time, award free tickets to whomever they choose in the thread, so long as that person has purchased at least one ticket. This could be for things like - being helpful in thread, being kind to other people in thread, being amusing, posting a lot... Whatever tickles our fancy. Give us an excuse to give out free tickets!
Make us laugh - Once a day you may post a G rated joke in thread (A day is denoted based on the server resets). If it is a joke neither of us have heard before, and you make one of us laugh out loud, you get a free ticket! If you get us both, 3 tickets. Bonus points (and tickets) if you make us laugh out loud at a weird time (At work, when someone is asleep, while watching TV). If the joke is just that funny, you will get extra tickets!
Recruit someone! If someone puts your full user name into their message when they buy tickets, you get free tickets! The more they buy, the more you get, but only in that first order.
Word and Math Games. Bardess LOVES Word and Math games. If you get one started that lasts for more than 3 pages (Has the majority of the posts on each page for more than three pages, they do not have to be consecutive) Send a link to the first page to Bardess, and you will earn free tickets!
We may add more ways to get free tickets later, so keep glancing back at this page. I will try to remember to make new changes stand out.
HOW TO WIN:
A winner will be drawn every time the following two conditions have been met:
1 - We have sold at least 110011 Tickets since the last drawing closed
2 - It has been at least a week since the last drawing has closed
2 - It has been at least a week since the last drawing has closed
Once these conditions have been met, We will compile the list, post it here, and then roll. All rolling will be done in the Chatterbox forum of Gaiaonline, and will be linked here so that everyone can see the results.
So.... what did I just win?
The winner for each drawing gets to choose one of all the available dragon prizes. New dragons will be added sporadically, but old dragons will only be removed between drawings.
Please note that it can take us up to 48 hours to close a drawing, but all tickets bought before we officially close/roll will be honored. We will post in this thread when a drawing is closed. It may take up to 48 hours after the winner has chosen his or her prize for us to reopen, please be patient. We will try our best to keep everything moving more rapidly.
