Nova's favorite color is pink. At least, it's the color he responds the most to. He also has a frog obsession, and gets excited when he sees green colors similar to the many toy frogs scattered throughout the house. He also really loves watermelon candy and real watermelon, so I decided I'd make him a watermelon blanket out of his two favorite colors.

I'm not looking forward to embroidering the seeds.

I took a break from the granny square blanket and made him a kitty coil today!

The same way you embroider on any other fabric. I'm gonna work up a quick swatch to practice on so I don't ruin his blanket, though. It's been a long time since I last embroidered on crocheted fabric.

Nova is...well, he's very special. There's a lot behind it, but the simple answer is yes, he gets showered in gifts all the time.

Oh my gosh I accidentally thought that you meant you were going to attach some kind of beading to the blanket for the seeds ahh sorry!! im sorry i dont know a lot about crocheting/knitting in general.. D:
