Day 1

Boxcar was teasing a firefly, imitating a mating flash sequence with sparks of lightning magic, when xe got tugged by the wing over with the rest of the volunteers. Xe creeps more than walks, seemingly weighed down by the rows upon rows of innumerable old weather charms and sigils hooked into the cloth of xir raggedy cloak; xe clinks with every step. A hat so patched as to lose any of its original shape sags on xir head. Xe peer out from underneath the brim to survey the crowd and the curious banescale up at the front.

As Fletcher launches into his explanation, Boxcar pulls a tarnished silver pipe out from an inner pocket of the cloak. Xe stuffs the bowl with pale crispy leaves of a substance before lighting up and puffing away. Xe does so at such a rate as to envelop xemself in lavender clouds of smoke. The smoke lingers longer than it ought; xe periodically has to wave a wing around to disturb the clouds and get them to dissipate.

Xe maneuvers the pipe to the side of xir jaws when Fletcher asks about the handwriting, well-practiced at keeping it in place even as xir tongue jiggles to holler, "I'll take a gander!"

Xe clicks xir tongue and nods, nods knowingly when the paper is passed 'round xir way. "Oh, yes. Lemme just get my quill here . . ."

By the time xe's dug through all the pockets of xir cloak, at last emerging with a ratty half-splintered goose feather, the clues have already been put together. Xe jaws down on xir pipe tolerantly, stuffs the quill back away——the memory of which pocket it was placed instantly dismissing itself from xir mind——and shambles off to find this dragon amongst all those gathered here for the firefly festival.

The smoke's put xem in a good mood, relaxed. Xe sways as xe steps, moving with the magical energies that so enmesh the planet. Not a bad way to spend the festival. Xe chances a peek skyward. So long as no storm comes, no, not bad at all.

An eight ball, really??

She thought to herself, taking the ball from his claws. She attempts to carefully tilt it back into place until she gets... some word resembling a dragon trait. Handing it back, she sets off to find the dragon, hoping that this doesn't end up in some wild goose chase.

...Surprisingly, it seems to have worked- she does indeed find a rather glittery Skydancer.

"....We're all out of jars, I'm afraid." She says, and instead calls the clan's two trainers over to help chase off the critters.

...Fletcher would find the group returning with jars of glitter, looking significantly more glittery than they had prior. It's not exactly easy to keep glitter off you when scuffling with creatures (and given the way he seemed to be showing off, Ophryacus probably intentionally got glitter on him.) The eye-like gem on Umbrella's tail bauble seems to stare at the glitter in silent judgement.

...Well, hopefully she can get the glitter off before she returns to the Mansion. She's not sure if she'll ever be able to get the glitter out if any gets tracked back home. (And Midd would probably be non-plussed having to clean it after the last someone brought glitter for a party.)

Trailing behind him is a obsidian and gold Imperial and a grayish colored Fathom with bronze markings, the latter annoyingly chewing them out seemingly for randomly walking off without notice yesterday. The Tundra seems to ignore the them as he sets some jars up next to Fletcher with a smile, "The others should have the rest of the jars." Then he turns to the exasperated Imperial and annoyed Fathom as he walks back, "If you want to help Ray you can, if not enjoy the festival, I'll be helping 'round here." The Fathom complains about that not being their name for a moment before rolling their eyes and waddles off, the Imperial follows them off with a sigh and node and a well wish to both Alexios and Fletcher. Alexios just sits down and continues trying to dust off the glitter from their fur unbothered, "odd, I didn't touch the glitter,"

Trailing behind him is a obsidian and gold Imperial and a grayish colored Fathom with bronze markings, the latter annoyingly chewing them out seemingly for randomly walking off without notice yesterday. The Tundra seems to ignore the them as he sets some jars up next to Fletcher with a smile, "The others should have the rest of the jars." Then he turns to the exasperated Imperial and annoyed Fathom as he walks back, "If you want to help Ray you can, if not enjoy the festival, I'll be helping 'round here."
The Fathom complains about that not being their name for a moment before rolling their eyes and waddles off, the Imperial follows them off with a sigh and node and a well wish to both Alexios and Fletcher. Alexios just sits down and continues trying to dust off the glitter from their fur unbothered, "odd, I didn't touch the glitter,"
