She very likely could have found herself in any part of Sornieth where flowers, trees and fungus were rare - such as the Scarred Wasteland or the Southern Icefield - but it was in the Waste where she first realised the abundance of Dragons and life, but the lack of greenery and plants. Wisteria took time to test the earth in the Ashfall Waste. Testing to see if the soil could grow anything besides the burning trees of the forests and the charred charcoal of their trunks. With constant watch and careful tending, she was able to coax a seedling, a vine, a leaf from the scorched earth. With her love and in time she was able to grow a healthy wisteria vine around a dead tree. Encouraged, she helped it to flourish as her home - a vivid scream of lilac and healthy green in the orange and brown wastelands. A heavy bough of lavendar, blue and pink that she cared for every day, sharing her love and life with her chosen home. Her self appointed challenge was complete in a way, and yet she felt it had only begun. In her time growing her garden, her home, she had neglected motherhood. Now she felt it was time to turn her mind to offspring, to hatching a brood of dragons she could gift with her love of plants. She collected the blossoms of her wisteria home and made a soft nest where she would raise strong fire-dragons. She planned to then send them into the world with a bag of wisteria seeds, so they could plant their own homes wheresoever they chose. Her lineage would be long, she hoped. Strong and wiry like the vines of her tree. Eager to grow and help others grow. Beautiful and strong. She must never have been bred before now. He can be from your clan, a new buy from the AH or a borrowed stud. [emoji=veilspun happy size=2] Once this mate has bred with your Matriarch, he cannot breed with her again. So an added rule to my 100 Hatchling Challenge, since I chose an ancient breed, is to make sure every hatchling Wisteria has will get the following art completed just for them; [center][img]https://i.imgur.com/uNLhflo.png[/img][/center] All of Wisteria's Hatchlings will be named after a plant/fungus/tree/flower, but you are free to change their name after you adopt them if you wish. I figured it was time to start a project, and inspired by the [url=https://www1.flightrising.com/forums/qnc/3136985]100 Hatchling challenges[/url] I saw - in particular [url=https://www1.flightrising.com/forums/qnc/3208480/1]ShadowMermaid's[/url] and [url=https://www1.flightrising.com/forums/qnc/3139677]Wintersphoenix's[/url] I thought I would give it a shot with a Veilspun. I have a strong love of Veils, and I had recently won a beautiful skin for one - Wisteria Gardens. I love wisteria, and I concocted a tale and idea for the whole challenge. The fact that Veils can have branches on their tert really sold the idea of Wisteria's story for me. I searched for the right colours of dragon to make my Wisteria, and @/Mibby was kind enough to supply the candidate for me. In my mind, people are less likely to straight exhalt a dragon if it has art, so I set about making the various graphics and things I needed not only to make my Challenge post, but to make sure I had a piece of art ready to colour up and put into each Hatchling's bio. Hopefully I'll get my way through all 100 and they will find loving homes with their bio art. The fire eggs were very heavily copied from FR resources, of course, although I coloured them myself.
