This is a thread for posting about my nuzlocke challenge that I'm currently running, so please don't post here and instead go to the discussion thread.

It all started simple: I needed a reason to do coli more often, and I hate doing coli. So, a plan was born: I just needed to spice it up a little! Now look where I'm now...

I've seen a lot of people complete other challenges in coli, stuff like Pinkerlocke, but they just... Never vibed with me, y'know. Too difficult, too specific, having to exalt my perma dragons... So I decided to make myself some personal rules! If you like them, you can also do this, of course, just credit me.

The rules

If you're already familiar with either Pokemon nuzlockes or Pinkerlocke you'll find a lot of familiar rules, but they mostly have some special tweaks that I personally thought would make the experience better for me. You can disagree with how I run the rules, I do not care. You're free to tweak them if you decide to do a run of your own.

And so it begins. It's time for me to start this grueling and long, long journey... Let's hope that it will be fun, at least. Of course I also randomized my starter dragons, let's check out what did I get. First up is... Fire! I'm actually not that good with coli in terms of remembering how elements interact (I keep applying pokemon logic and thinking that Plague is weak to Arcane...), but from what I remember Fire is a pretty safe bet. For our Fire starter I picked this girl, who I, unoriginally, named Ignis. I don't expect to keep those dragons, but I should at least pick something neat-looking, right? I'll have to stare at those dragons for hours after all, so picking fodder-tier eyeburners would be bad... Next up... It's Ice! I don't know anything about Ice, but Scorched Forest is a fairly early venue, so that makes me a little anxious... Let's hope that two dragons I get to roll before that will be of a more fitting element. Losing my starter so early would be lame. For my Ice representative I picked this boy named Trayton, who actually was pre-named. I don't have a specific name theme, so I don't mind a more basic name for my dragon. I know that he comes off more as a Lightning dragon because of his neon-cyan tertiary, but I think it's kinda neat. I don't mind a not-washed out Ice rep for once. And the final starter is... Wind! Windsinger is actually one of my fave deities, so I was pretty happy to get him... Again, I don't really know how good Wind actually is as a coli element. I'll figure it out. I named him Poet - don't ask, I don't know myself why, it's late and I'm sleepy. I just thought that it sounded neat when put together with the rest of my starters. I'll make them status icons and then will go to sleep.

Ignis seems like the most balanced out of them, Poet is fast but isn't too strong and kinda fragile. Trayton seem to lean into tankier side, even though he doesn't pack too much of a punch. And then Ignis missed again. And again. And again. She missed FOUR TIMES in total. But also, she crit two times, so I guess that's admirable. At least Trayton started off strong and landed a crit on his first scratch. Terrible job, everyone. The next battle they had they still were pretty full, Trayton and Ignis got hit only once and Poet was in full health. I had two Pocketmouse to beat, it shouldn't be too grueling of a task, right? Trayton has the highest INT by default, so I decided to start leveling him in that direction after this. I dumped around 50/50 into STR and QCK for Ignis, Poet got more STR and VIT, since I don't want him to crumble instantly if a Pocketmouse breathes on him. Safety, for now? Everything went surprisingly smoothly after the Trayton Incident, and other battles were a breeze. There was even a surprising amount of crits - Yes, Ignis still missed. But it wasn't "four misses in a single battle"-tier, so I think she has been doing better. I find it a little amusing that Trayton already seems to become a fan-favourite so early into the journey. I assume that if someone decides to gift me apparel or battlestones it'll be addressed to him, hehe... After being asked about writing interactions and characterising my dragons I thought of maybe running an in-character Q&A in the end of each issue? You can try sending a few questions in the discussion thread and I'll see if I find anything interesting.

EZEVIC'S BIZZARE ADVENTURE: TOME 2, THE ELECTRIC BOOGALOO

SURPRISE AGAIN SUCKERS!! I haven't posted in this thing, since, like... [Checks notes] Actually that doesn't matter and the new nuzlocke part was the friends we made along the way.

Anyway, hi!! A lot of things have happened since the last time I made a post in this thing, I've gained new friends and enemies, had a few important changes in my IRL life and, most importantly, tightened up my english knowledge. If you've been checking in on my lair from time to time, you could have noticed that the nuzlocke victims participants actually didn't go anywhere out of my lair or change significantly. As the intro post says, it is indeed true that I hate doing coli and that fact haven't changed. With the start of Springswarm, though, I finished up training some of my other dragons and remembered that this nuzlocke was A Thing I was doing, and, like... I hate leaving things unfinished, I guess?

There are some things I want to try with this challenge, including writing it in a more of a live-blog type of way instead of having to make mental notes for myself and try to remember stuff to write a post later. Also here's a pinglist for updates in case you don't want to sub to the thread for some reason.
I will make a separate post for a new part likely a little later into today, purely bc I don't want to intimidate people with a huge offtopic wall of text on top of the actual nuzlocke lol.

hey i should change this to a funny title when i post this I don't expect the entire Ezevic Wacky Nuzlocke's fanbase of whopping three people to flock as soon as I post a return update so I think I'll just make a new entry lol. WHY IS EVERYTHING IN THIS FOREST SO STRONG AND FAST AND WHY DOES IGNIS KEEP BEING CRIT. and she got downed. wow thats an amazing comeback. Poet remains untouched and I am getting suspicious. Hopefully I get a Tincture in somewhat close future because I feel like without optimising the stat spread this will be way harder. We have to make stops and rest after each battle because an encounter even with a party full of mages batters the team too much and I don't want to risk losing either one of them.
