Quests & Challenges

I'm trying to get myself more into the habit of making forum posts (I hate putting myself out there haha) and I love watching these sort of challenges on YouTube with the Sims, so of course I love the idea of a Flight Rising edition! Here's hoping I'll remember to stick with it as updates come!

I'm taking the rules I'll be following from @Kywren 's post here!

• You will start with a bank of 20kt for this challenge.
• The first dragon must be from your least favorite breed on the site, and be all basic genes. It needs to be ugly; truly a dragon that should have been immediately exalted. It needs to be under 10kt.
• Find it a mate! It needs to be RTB, and under 10kt. Roll a d20 (or less if there aren't enough pages) to determine the page to pick the mate from. Roll a d10 to chose the mate from that page. There's no requirement for triple genes. You get what you get.
• Breed them! Roll a d(however big the hatch is) to determine your heir.
• While waiting for the heir to be ready to breed, train and exalt or sell the others in order to fill back up your bank and pay for the next dragon.
• Your next dragon, and every dragon following that you get for a mate, must only be bought with money in the bank. You must still roll a d20 (or lower) to determine the page, but you will get to pick from there.
• No scry workshop until after the mate is purchased.
• You've completed the challenge when you have a dragon that your picky nature would be willing to put on display in their lair.

His tomato red immediately made me say 'no', so here we are 9000t later... my guilt over hurting inanimate objects (pixels?) feelings is growing. (Update: Is it cheating to invisibility cloak the uglies? XD) I'm sorry, Challenger. You are my sacrifice. Now, his mate! I rolled a nat20 (of course) for the page, and a 7 for the final pick, leaving me with.... I will say, though, that mirrors are probably my second least favorite breed on the site, lol. Her genes are nice in their current layout, but I'm pretty finicky about boulder/myrid and thylacine, so... let's hope we get some pretty colors, at least? I've named her Avarice (7500t). And I am still stuck in basic Tundra hell. I named him Adonis, because why not. I've exalted Challenger (11007t), may he serve Ice Dad in peace, but I'm... actually a little torn about Avarice. She's grown on me a little bit... so I may hold onto her, just for a little while. (': It hurts my funds, but the babies should sell for about what she could've got me. That leaves us with 12,507 in the bank. Now let's find Adonis' mate! There was another fae I was very close to buying, but her genes were just a bit too rare to be reliable. She's not my favorite... but she'll do. And now we wait for Adonis to be ready to breed! Not ideal, but hopefully they pick up some genes and get me out of TundraHell. I may have gotten overeager during the events and spent my BOTU money (': Time to do some recalculating and see what I need to get back to after selling the babies from last round. Nest two has hatched.... and I'm still in basic TundraHell. (': But! I am liking the colors we're getting to! The terts aren't really ideal in any form, but we'll get there lol. In a page full of starmap and iridescent Imperials, he was my best shot. ; w ; He is actually in the color scheme I like, and I think he'll breed well color-wise with our gal!
