It draws your attention to a partially cracked window, an awning draped in fabulous floral arrangements and a cluttered but pleasant ambience emanating from inside. As you approach, the smell deepens into a rich and familiar sweetness. You take a quick cursory glance through the window’s pane and spot a few wagging tails and twitching whiskers. Intrigued, you chance the time to slip inside. The noise is more chaotic than initially suspected. There are chirrups and purrs and honks and some other noises you aren’t sure you could possibly explain to an outside observer. A dragon gives you a gracious smile from their position behind a mildly drink-stained counter and waves a friendly paw at you. On their wing hangs the round little body of a bat. “Welcome, welcome, Wind-erful to see you,” They greet. “Are you here to dine-in or to-go?” The befuddlement upon your face must have been evident enough for the dragon to utter a chuckle, their wing bobbing and disturbing the nocturnal creature from an otherwise peaceful slumber. It cracks open an eye and scoots further into a wing fold. “This is MESS--a creature cafe,” They explain, gesturing broadly to the entirety of the seated area. Dragons sat and chatted while a myriad of fantastical creatures weaved curiously in and out of the rooms, slaloming between legs and table stems, putting up a paw to steal a few biscuits. You look back at the dragon in front of you. “It’s a good opportunity to relax! Apparently, spending time with creatures can do wonders for your health.” A stumbling, sluggish looking hog then bumps into the dragon, making them wobble. They put a loving paw atop the mossy creature’s head and the animal in kind gives a little snort of appreciation. “I have to go and feed the…bigger ones in the outside area,” They laugh. “Please, take a seat! You’ll be seen shortly, enjoy your time here!” The dragon trots off with the moss-addled pig toddling along behind with a series of eager snuffs. You are curious to see just how big the creatures in the outside area are, but instead take in the scene of a cafe filled to the brim with thriving life and abundance. You notice a series of staircases and specialist rooms, seating areas for insects, for flying creatures, for incorporeal creatures (you speculate on that one for a while), and for creatures that are more shy and observational. Regardless of your length of stay, you are certain to have a good time. Now it is choosing what to eat, and how to eat it before it is inevitably chanced upon by a stray paw or two.

This one is far more legible, and offers item closer to food than "scream" (you think). Granted, it would be easier to read if the critters weren't all hopping about, pointing to their favorite items and squeaking at you, "aaAAHHing" at each other, and bolting underfoot. At least they are all adorable! "Welcome to MESS," a barista says. "Where we bring the mess. What can I get for you today?"
