[/quote] [i]The moment Twinkle joined Mystic Kingdom, he looked at each of the dragons that made up the clan. He was already enjoying the small clan and just how close everyone was. He did noticed that one dragon was by himself and just babysitting the new hatchling. Twinkle slowly walked over to the hatchling and the male dragon. When he laid next to them, he watched the hatchling pouncing on the adult and the adult acting as if he was getting attacked by a fierce dragon. It was then that, that dragon looked up and saw the newcomer watching their play time. The dragon then nudged the hatchling over to his parents. When it was just the two of them, he crossed his front legs together and spoke.[/i] Welcome to the Night Guardians, my name is Logan and yours? [i]Logan let smirk show as he waited for the males response. The male slowly stood just to move a little closer to the adult male and softly rubbed his nose against his as he whispered.[/i] Name is Twinkle, cutie. Thank you for welcoming me into this clan. I look forward to being here but really I look forward to getting to know you. [i]Twinkle then softly let his tail wrap around the other males tail and was expecting the male to pull away but was surprised when the male leaned in and softly rubbed against the dragons mane.[/i] I would like to get to know you as well, Twinkle. [i]As the time passed, the two males dragons began to get closer than either of them had expected to. They were so close that they were by the end of the night, together and enjoying each others company. The bond, was strong and nothing would break it, not even death.[/i]

Midrin-1 Banazir-10 Logan-12 Twinkle-6 CottonCandy-7 Oilslick-3 Root-11 [i]As the Mystic Kingdom began to get lively for the night and start preparing themselves for whatever may come their way, they were surprised by a beast clan attack. All the adults gathered, protecting their only hatchling. They all stood their ground but when they saw just how many beast clan stood before them, they all began to wonder if they would survive the night. Midrin, as the Royal of the clan, could sense just how terrified his clan members were. How his hatchling shook and stayed close to Logan and Twinkle. He looked at his mate Banazir and could see the worry in her eyes. He looked at the last two adults, CottonCandy and Oilslick and saw them guarding their nest of four eggs. Midrin feared the worse for his clan and didn't want anything horrible to befall them. In that moment of terror, Midrin thought back to Hayate and the unfortunate last few moments that happened between them. Midrin closed his eyes and when he opened them, he knew what to do. Midrin took a step forward away from his clan. When Banazir saw this, she called out to him in a shaky voice[/i] "Midrin! No, you mustn't.. Please don't do this.. we need you!" [i]He looked back at his mate and with a weary smile, he said.[/i] "I must. If I don't.. I fear the majority of our clan will perish.." [i]Without another word to Banazir, he faced the beast clan head on and stood between them and his clan as he roared out to them.[/i] "I am the Royal of the Mystic Kingdom, leader of the Night Guardians! I will trade my own life, if you will spare the rest of my clan members. Will my blood tame you wild beasts?!" [i]Midrin stood tall and held his ground as the beast clan tried to advance on the other members of the clan. He cut them all off and stood in the way protecting all that were behind him. His stance didn't waiver. The leader of the beast clan saw just how brave this leader was and how willing he was to give his own life to save the life of others. The leader smirked and slowly nodded it's head and let out a low growl. This growl was the sign for the rest of the beast to fall back. As they did, the lead nudged it's head in the direction away from the Mystic Kingdom's home, the smirk against it's lips growing even more. Midrin nodded and turned back to his family, his clan and let a single tear fall from his eye as he looked at them all.[/i] "You all have grown so much.. I've seen the growth in all of you. Pick a new Royal. Anyone of you would be worthy of the title. I will watch over you all. Goodnight and goodbye Guardians.." [i]With his last words, he turned to the beasts leader and it's clan, walking off into the darkness of the night. Never once looking back at his clan because he knew he would regret what he saw. Midrin was now in the pitch black and could only hear the growls of the beasts. He closed his eyes and whispered to where only he could hear.[/i] "Hayate... I will see you soon." ------- [i]As the clan saw their royal sacrificing himself to save them, they lowered their heads and mourned for the loss of him. Mourned for the guidance that Midrin gave them all. Mourned for the leader that built this clan from nothing. A few hours passed as they all mourned their royal. Soon the silence was broken by Banazir as she spoke up looking at the remaining members of the Mystic Kingdom.[/i] "We must not grieve for him all night long.. We need to keep on living and growing to become a strong united clan. We need a new Royal, a new leader to take us to that path. I.. the last of the first founders of the Mystic Kingdom.. refuse to become the Royal.. I am undeserving even though Midrin thought differently. Please, family... pick another and I will follow without hesitation." [i]Banazir became quiet after speaking up. The whole clan fell silent again, not sure who would be able to fill the role that Midrin lead. Just a few moments passed before one dragon spoke up.[/i] "I will be the Royal. If you all agree to it." [i]Twinkle had spoken up and was standing next to his bonded partner.[/i] "I know that I've only been here a day but if anything at all, the bond that I have made with Logan shows just how much I care for him. How much I care for this clan. Midrin, will be missed by us all but he wanted us to keep on living, just as Banazir said." "I will lead. I will make the Night Guardians shine in this Mystic Kingdom. Will you all have me as your leader, your new Royal?" [i]Banazir and Logan both stood and lowered their heads, showing that they accepted Twinkle as their new Royal. Twinkle then looked at the last two adults and they shared a quick glance at each other before they as well stood and lowered their heads. In that moment, Twinkle let out a deep roar, declaring he was the new Royal of the Mystic Kingdom.[/i]
