“I sense a disturbance.” She said, silencing both of them. “A disturbance in what….?” Sands asked hesitantly. “I sense a disturbance.” She repeated. Sands looked worried but Izak didn’t seem to be taking her very seriously. “Oh come on don’t worry about it! Slimy is “sensing disturbances” all the time but nothing really happens.” Just then there was a loud rumble and several rocks started breaking off the ceiling. “sLimYs SeNsInG dIStuRBaNcEs alL tHe TimE bUt nOThInG hAPpeNs” Sands mocked, annoyed, before running help Vaille and Aurus. “Okay fine! Maybe sometimes things happen!” Izak huffed flying after him, Slimette following behind him. Aurus was already up and was shielding herself from the falling rocks with her broad purple wings. “What’s going on?!” She yelled through the dust and rocks. “What do we do?!”

“I don’t know- I don’t know!” Sands looked around frantically. They were pretty deep underground. There wasn’t much places to go. “Wait… where’s Vaille?!” Everyone looked around frantically after realising the wildclaw was missing. There was a flurry of ice magic as Izak sent pillars of ice to stop the tunnel from caving in. “You guys better hurry! This won’t last forever!” Sands didn’t need to be told twice. Suddenly, as soon as it had started, the tunnels stopped moving. And the rocks stopped falling down on them, though the dust still hung on the air. Suddenly he heard Arnold croak loudly from somewhere nearby. Sands and the others immedietly made their way to where they heard him to find Vaille lying on the ground looking sickly and pale, and there was a lot of blood coming from his arm.

“Oh no…” Aurus murdered. Sands quickly rushed to his side, and the golden glow of his magic filled the room. So on enough Vaille’s arm had stopped bleeding, but he wouldn’t move. For a horrifying second Sands thought he was gone forever, before he saw the slow rise and fall of his chest. He was alive.

Decided I wanted to give you guys a panic attack today since Vaille keeps almost dying in coli XD it was 10 rounds this time and Sands and Slimy both leveled up a bit!

Slimette looked around warily. “Where’s Izak?” She asked finally. Sands suddenly realised the weird fairy creature was no where in sight. “Izak?” The growling only got louder. Suddenly Vaille emerged from the other side, his arm was still bandaged since his injury.

“Vaille! You should be resting!” Sands said angrily. “Not wandering around by yourself!”
“I know, I know, I was just looking for Aurus. She went looking for Izak but I can’t find either of them.” He said. Arnold suddenly started jumping around, and croaking loudly. There was a loud crash on the other side of the tunnel and a cold gust of wind and snowflakes blew past. “Izaks magic… something wrong…” With that, Slimy hurried off in the direction the crash had come from, but she didn’t go very far when Izak and Aurus came around the corner, running for their lives.

I don’t know how it got in the tunnels but we need to run!” He huffed. “It’s one of what?” Sands asked, but everyone ignored his questions when what he thought was a large shadow appeared in the tunnels, growling and hissing angrily. Izak sent another blast of ice magic, making a wall of ice between them and the creature. It’s features were distorted and blurred through the ice, but Sands could see many mouths with razor sharp teeth in the dark goo, hungry for flesh. The ice started to crack and a tentacle of slime broke through and managed to wrap around Vaille, slowly strangling him as it dragged him in. Izak leaped at it and sent his frost great, freezing the creature over and making it drop Vaille. “Vaille get up! We need to run!” He snapped. Vaille groaned weakly and pulled himself up, and Izak quickly helped him get to the others. Sands quickly picked up Arnold and ran after them. Izak another wave of magic, and the wall of ice grew thicker, keeping the monster from getting to them. Eventually it gave up trying to break through and slithered back into the shadows with a hiss, leaving behind black ooze in its wake. They took a moment to recover from the shock when Vaille suddenly fell over and started coughing violently, blood and ooze spilling out of his mouth. “Vaille!” Sands rushed to his side and tried to figure out what was wrong, there were no wounds on the surface except for his arm. Vaille’s blood was pooling out of his mouth as he struggled to breath. “I think it broke his ribs… one of them must have punctured his lungs…” Sands realised with a sudden horror. “I don’t know if I can do it. I’ve never tried to heal something I can’t see before.” He whispered shakily. “You have to try.” Slimy whispered, as silent tears streamed down Aurus’s face. Sands nodded and once again the familiar golden glow of his magic filled the room. The blood was still pooling out of Vaille’s mouth. He had stopped coughing, and his breathing was getting weaker. By the time the monsters hisses and growled had faded away in the distance, Vaille was dead.
