Ahoy! My clan's lore is mainly centered around the Coli (I have two dragons who were anointed as "the Chosen of The Stormcatcher" personally by The Boss), so when I heard about this fodderlocke idea, I had to give it a try! More lore? More stories? More Exaltation!?!? what's not to love?
Original Idea stolen from Squidragon here; the rules are all the same, just the storyline has been tweaked a bit for my own clan lore. Additional change to the rules re: buying: if I have an acceptable dragon in my hibden for the given challenge, I will utilize them instead of buying from the AH. I will also be leveling the new recruits to 7 (its my preferred level).
edit: every 10 days (for this run, effective on day 70), the Stormcatcher will come down and visit the recruits - there will be 5 dramas, and there will be specific lore related to the Stormcatcher and His choices.
Donatello, once considered as a potential breeder for the Midnight Skies Hatchery, one of three that existed within the Clan, never quite fit in with the others in the Hatchery, nor did she feel any want or need to perpetuate her bloodline, despite her sought after genetics. Instead of searching hopelessly and foolishly for love like the other Hatchery Dragons, she decided to give her heart to another, and follow in the path of her family; joining up with The Guard, to try her luck at The Training, and hoping for an honorable destiny, either joining The Guard permanently, or being accepted into The Stormcatcher's lair after her Training was complete. She had hibernated for a while, keeping a sleepy eye on the snoozing hatchlings that came in. She took a shine to four of them, and knew they would make great candidates for The Training. So, the day before the hatchlings would reach their maturity, Donatello took them from the hibernal den and provided letters of recommendation for each of them to Kaligosa, The Head Guard who would oversee their Training. Kaligosa accepted, and the five recruits, led by Donatello, began training as soon as they could. Donatello had a headstart, and so she leveled up ahead of them, and, already a leader to the young dragons, became a true leader.

Buy yourself the two cheapest adult dragons off the auction house. These are your potential recruits.
Drag them through your two-fodder venue of choice together until they hit level 6.
Roll a 6-sided die for each. If you get a 6, tough luck - that dragon was not found worthy of the Stormcatcher, and must now train harder than ever before.
If a dragon gets anything other than a 6, exalt it. They have proven themselves worthy of working for the Stormcatcher.
Continue your recruitment efforts until you get a successful recruit (or two at once if you’re lucky)! You may now move on to the drama phase.
Phase 2 > > >
There is much drama to be had when too many dragons are locked in one place - tensions run high during and in between missions and trainings, you never know what can happen.
Roll a 12-sided die. Your next challenge is as follows:
1) There’s a scandal (or romance) afoot. Pick two of your ready to breed dragons at random if you have any. Put them on a nest. The babies will join your recruits when they hatch. Level them to 5 when they come of age. If the parents would be exalted while they’re on the nest, wait until their nest hatches and then exalt them. If nobody is ready to breed, grab a random hatchie off the AH. A secret forbidden child or sibling has been uncovered!
2) There’s Romance in the air. Pick two dragons at random. They are now in a relationship. If one gets exalted, so does the other. Their fates are bound together.
3) Hunting trip. Take any two of your dragons into a coli venue that is too low for them to gain experience. (Your choice). Go until you get: (based on suggestion by Alphazi) Roll 1d4:
4) Freeloader. Some random dragon has decided to hang at your place. Who is this guy???? Grab the cheapest adult off the AH. Leave them at level 1. For bonus points, try sniping an underpriced adult.
5) Training Mission! Pick two dragons at random. They have to go on a quest now. Raise both of them a level. Roll a 6-sided die for each. If it’s a 1, exalt them as they were lost in the mission.
6) Training Mission! Pick two dragons at random. They have to go on a quest now. Raise both of them a level. Roll a 6-sided die for each. If it’s a 1, exalt them as they were lost in the mission.
7) Training Mission! Pick two dragons at random. They have to go on a quest now. Raise both of them a level. Roll a 6-sided die for each. If it’s a 1, exalt them as they were lost in the mission.
8) Hatchlings are the Future. Grab the cheapest hatchie off the AH. Level it to 5 when it comes of age.
9) Shh the Boss is here! The Stormcatcher has requested a new recruit - Choose a dragon at random who is not the leader. Exalt them.
10) Test the Newbies. Roll a d10 for each of your lowest-level dragons. If it’s higher than their level, exalt them. They were deemed worthy already! Raise the remaining low-level dragons by one level, they must train even harder.
11) Graduation Day!! This is it! Your time to shine. Roll a d12 for every dragon. If you get higher than their level, exalt. Raise all those not exalted by one level - they were not worthy, and so much train even harder.
12) Graduation for the General! Exalt your leader. They have been deemed worthy of the Stormcatcher, and can now be honored with Exaltation. Determine a new leader from the remaining dragons. The highest level dragon will be it. If there is a tie, the oldest tied dragon shall be the leader. Level the tied dragon one level to make it stronger than its peers.
After you finish your dramatic challenge, go back to the recruit stage (either the next day or immediately) and go again. Keep whatever pace you want.
Keep an eye on your drops while you’re in the coli. If you get any of the following while training, grant the following effects to your members who were in the coli with them at the time.
If for some ungodly reason a dragon ever gets to level 25, crown them the lord of all fodder. Give them stats & stones and pull them out to make them your new 2-fod trainer. Or exalt them for being too strong. Your choice.

Bonus Rules:
Keep an eye on your drops while you’re in the coli. If you get any of the following while training, grant the following effects to your members who were in the coli with them at the time.
- Eliminate: Amazing! Exalt both of them.
- Gene: The dragons get inspired by the gene they found! They search the horde and each select an apparel item to wear. If you would exalt them, instead remove the apparel. The Stormcatcher has no time for luxuries like clothing.
- Egg: Oh nice, think of how many hatchlings you can buy if you sell One egg. Pick up the three cheapest hatchies on the AH. Level them to 5 when they come of age.
- Rally: The current party is motivated! If they would have to roll as to whether or not they'll get exalted at the end of this coli event, they automatically succeed and return safely to your lair.
- Ambush: Randomly choose one of the dragons in the current coli party. They flee and get the heck out. Immediately refresh, remove them, and replace them with a random other dragon.
- Berserker (new rule added by me) One of the fodder dragons in your party grabs hold of the berserker stone and goes crazy! Ignore all other finds, and roll a d6 for each dragon. Whichever one rolls lowest has stolen the berserker stone, and is rejected by The Stormcatcher (if they would roll to be exalted at the end of the run, they instead join your team).
If for some ungodly reason a dragon ever gets to level 25, crown them the lord of all fodder. Give them stats & stones and pull them out to make them your new 2-fod trainer. Or exalt them for being too strong. Your choice.
