TOPIC | Test of Blood - Pinkerlock
"The blood has not run through you. Your gifts have not manifested. You have failed." There is no place in the clan of Flection for failure. If one has nothing to give, nothing more to offer, one does not have a place within its walls. Most failures are revealed at birth. Brought in front of the Witch of the Water, a hatchling is judged for the strength of the bloodline its been bred with. Those whom have increased the bloodlines potency can stay. There is even a chance those whom have not weakened it may have a place, through a suitable mate be found to better serve its blood. But weaken it, or fail to have it, and you must prove your worth. Warriors hunters, caretakers, trainers may remain, if they have proven themselves. Those who had not mastered these skills may test their blood. Those who choose the Rite leave the clan, and survive. The only rule is survive. Prove your willpower, your intelligence, and your strength goes beyond what fate has given you, and you may return to the clan in honor. From the water, Gawaine rises slowly, on the surface weighed down by water that clings to the vestments of office. The bright wings that mark his bloodline flash in a brilliant array, dazzling Zenthra and Direeye with a brilliant display of shifting colors and patterns. They were not as familiar with the Alebrije as Farsong. One of her several eyes regarded the two whom would be accompanying her on her test, the edge of her mouth tugging downward. Not even started and already distracted? This did not bode well. Gawaine settled his gaze on the grouping, the shifting color of his wings settling in bright, but static, patterns again. "You know what is required of you. Survive. Survival is the only requirement. You go with nothing, as you are nothing. Seek your potential, or perish. This is the way of the Rite." The Imperial spoke in low, somber tones. "You have been given a hole in the Trench, fixed with an air crystal so you may sleep and breath. This is a gift from the Sea Witch, given to all whom start, as a show of good fair. Do not waste it. Come." Gawaine turned then, slipping beneath the waves to bring the three to what would be their home for...who knew how long, deep in the water, in the middle-dark of the trench, a place were light still reached....barely.
