Other than waiting for imperial cooldowns, patiently, everything has been going well so far for the XXY project. I am confident that by September (when I'm supposed to move to Fire), I should be able to finish up one or both Arcane and Earth projects. For my XXX colorwheel project, I now only am missing ONE color pairing (Darn Amber...) that I may eventually just have to breed for. I have a little over 40 of 177 colors switched to their Flaunt/Flair/Glimmer 'final form' so that is the most exciting! I'm mostly focused on projects to get the genes I need for certain colors. I switched the partner up with the imp to nocturne to get a closer chance of getting the correct colors on an imp, which probably would have been smarted to do sooner but better now than never I suppose. Let's give some thoughts on Earth flight now hmm...Per usual, I got too busy and or lazy (depending on how you want to look at it) to really partake in any flight specific things such as DOM or within Earth threads. But it was very nice to always be in the top 3 on the DOM list, or in first the few times we were during my short time here. It was helpful to get quite a few flaunt/flair genes on sale as I need to drop so much money for those genes :'). But I am looking forward to a change, just to change something up. I'm excited to see some bright eyes on dragons too, as Earth was fairly dark/neutral. Meet [url=https://www1.flightrising.com/dragon/81966152]Tierra[/url], my Earth rep :D. When I got this boy back from a rented nest I screamed when I saw the colors were perfectly on a male imp!! It has taken over a year to get one of the projects finished but it still feels so great to just mark [i]one[/i] off the list. I was unsure on what I was going to go with for the naming conventions, but I finally decided I wanted my reps to have Spanish names. So Tierra it is...I'm super excited to finally be down to just two active projects (Arcane and Fire). I'm currently waiting on the Arcane nest to hatch in a few days so MAYBE, if the RNG gods are kind I will have more good news then? I also have quite a few Fire projects on the docket to nest. I'm still chipping away at the Fire rep colors, but the color wheel is getting tighter and closer to giving me what I am searching for. While I hope the next project to finish doesn't take another year, the excitement of finishing a project will stay with me for a while ;D. Especially while I work to gene and vial Tierra! I have finished putting on genes and an eye vial on [url=https://www1.flightrising.com/dragon/81966152]Tierra[/url], meaning my first flight rep is completed as of December 18th :). I am still working on my Arcane and Fire projects but hope to start on the next Ice project soon, maybe before I am meant to switch flights to there ^_^. But we'll see...I'm still happy I've completed at least one boy so far. Fire has gotten even closer since my last posting, and the Arcane RNG gods just need to be kind to me once to get those correct colors on a male imp. Maybe by the end of 2023 I will have a few more marked off my to do list :). Ahh the end of a year. I do indeed enjoy the last three months of the year due to the holidays and the cooler weather, even if that means dealing with ice and cold winter weather. In terms of reflecting on the past year, at least regarding Flight Rising, I'd say I'm glad I have taken the time to step back from certain things or projects and shift my time and focus to others. As my real life focus changes to other games outside of Flight Rising, I hated feeling like I was tying myself too hard to some aspects of this game or over committing to something where I didn't find joy. I'm still very much into color breeding for both my flight rep project and my XXX hatchery project(s), so I look forward to working even harder next year towards those goals :). And, with another year down that means another year towards finishing up my journey around the flights. As of right this moment, while returning back to Lightning does sounds lovely...A part of me wishes to reside in Arcane. I've met some lovely people within that flight, and I'd love to be a part of their DOM scene, as well as help new people who join up there. But we'll see how I feel when I do return to a more 'permanent' residence in three more years ;D. Onwards to 2023 ^_^. Another project completed and in the books as of today! Meet [url=https://www1.flightrising.com/dragon/83635874]Arcano[/url], my Arcane flight rep :). He is already completed with all genes and even eye vial as I had some extras on hand. I am SO happy to have the 2nd project completed finally. It took over a year to even get either project done, so to have two flight reps completed nearly back to back makes me very happy. For now I'm focusing solely on the fire flight rep, but I'm VERY close, really only one or two colors off, and expect to possibly have a rep completed by my move to Ice in March? It will be interesting to just work on one flight rep at a time, while within that flight (what I had intended from the start...) but I'm very happy to be on pace, and maybe hopefully ahead depending on the RNG gods ^_^. Let's hope my last full month within the Fire flight gets me yet another flight rep before my switch :D. But I am dedicated to a few breeding projects here still, that will keep me coming back thankfully ^_^. Fire was lovely.
