Time for Round 8 for me. But they both have 3 genes, so I won't be losing one this time and I got a 4 egg nest so I'll have some choice. DragonWolfie I've been trying to keep the genes if I can in the hopes that eventually I'll get something that I won't have to completely regene to love. However, I also have room to keep a few spares in my HibDen in case that doesn't happen and I end up loving them more. @DragonWolfie Considering you are most likely to lose breed, genes, and colors; I'd say go with whichever one you like the best. Who knows? You could wind up with more than one like me. After some deliberation, I've decided that the second hatchling will be my heir. Sticking with a moon theme for the project, the heirs will be named after the phases of the moon while other hatchlings will be named after moons in our solar system.

The heir, WaningGibbous, will be ready to breed on 27 Jan 2022, while Phobos, and Deimos will be exalted when they fit a daily exalting bonus.

Nerilka I haven't played with them much -- just these hatchlings and the green G1 from the other thread -- but so far it looks like it's going to be hard to make the new genes not go together. There's so much black to dilute any color they can't really conflict with each other. They have great potential for a gene of last resort. They also remind me of those black velvet posters from eons ago. [emoji=imperial confused size=1] I don't know what this says about me liking them so far. And of course they're a gem gene. So far I still haven't played with these guys much, but I do like noxtide with the new gene on the first one. The dark in it pulls it together for me, more than say, blend which is what I tried first because of the blue. And pharoah is better than the other genes I tried because most of them had a little too much of the dark yellow in them. She may be the keeper. They are definitely genes that go together well regardless of the colors involved, but I'm just not a fan of the overall effect. I know the black velvet pictures you mentioned, even had one myself at one point, but I'm still not sold on these genes.

I'm sure I'll have at least one dragon with them since they are gem genes, but I'll wait until they are fodder price. lol

I hadn't actually thought of an end goal hatchling. Seeing what randomness brings is fun for me.

But now that you've mentioned it, having moon as one of the colours would be thematically appropriate. Two contrasting colours and moon would be nice, or moon, a dark grey/black, and something bright sounds good too.

Round 13! Half way there! :D Dani has a new mate, Weihnachtskranz. I have no idea how to pronounce that, but I think it might be German? Anyway, he was only 7799 T on the AH and is 4 years old. Of course he only has tapir, but it's more than she has. Maybe I'll pick up a gene, but I only get one shot with my wegg nest. *fingers crossed.
