"It would be an excellent experiment," Adaption said with delight, poking at the shiny new idea that Potential had. "With these new eyes making appearances more and more, who knows where these things might lead."
Potential snorted. "You know," he said with an amused face looking at his partner. "This was not what I expected when I commented about eyes."
Though he should have. Adaption was always looking at new things to test. And testing on random mutations was something his partner would be all about. "Not sure if we can get that much variety. Random partners?"
Potential did not share his cuddle time with Adaption, but a bit of magic and eggs, that was fine. And it wouldn't be the first time they raised eggs from another, short term, partner.
"Of course," Adaption said. A nuzzle. "So, shall we see who can get all those interesting new eyes first?" The tone was all tease and challenge, and Potential perked up and grinned.
He never could resist a challenge.
This thread is going to get long, as I plan on a post for each of the pair for each flight. There are going to be a lot of dragons involved with this, and I want to keep things a little organized. Thus recreating and reposting this thread.
The planned cycle will be as follows: Light(it's where I am as I start this thread), Earth, Plague, Wind, Waterheart, Lightning, Ice, Shadow, Arcane, Nature, Fire. Just going by the list in the gathering page.
Eyes at the start of this: Common, Uncommon, Unusual, Rare, Faceted, Multi-gaze, Primal, Goat, Bright, and Pastel. That's what I'm going by. If more eyes are added laterI will scream stick with this list. Once I'm done, I might consider going for the new eyes.
Small edit here: If I am still in light when they are announced, I will add the new eyes. So Bright and Pastel have been added to the list.

Eye count and exalted to numbers Just what it says. I find that sort of thing oddly interesting.

So, with this, I'm going to breed Adaption and Potential to (in theory) the first triple gened gaoler of the right gender until I get one of each eye type from them. For each flight. The first of each eye type will be exalted by myself, and the other offspring will be sold in the AH for gems to finance the move to the next flight. This thread is going to get long, as I plan on a post for each of the pair for each flight.
