Some weeks ago, I had a dragon in my War Camp fodder tab, but I noticed that he was a good match for someone's Find A Dragon thread. I offered to trade him for another fodder dragon. Why not? One fodder is as good as another, and it's always nice to see a dragon find a real home, even if it wasn't bred in my own lair.
The new dragon was pretty nice too, though, so I decided to give him a chance on the auction house for a bit before I exalted him. He sold. I used the funds to buy two more fodder dragons, but one of them actually looked pretty good too...
You can probably see where this is going. At this point, it's become a bit of a personal challenge. How long can I keep this chain going?

Here's the "Alto Prime" chain:
Dragon #1: My original fodderling, bought from a friend for a specific push and then not exalted in time, he was being held for the next push. Named and now owned by @Animegerbil.

Dragon #2: The dragon-in-trade was Shadowling, who actually sold [i]twice[/i]. That part's a long story; suffice to say, the first buyer decided to trade him back as part of a deal for some higher-level dragons. Shadowling is now owned by @Emeraldragon04.

Dragon #3: Vadim was bought with the proceeds from Shadowling's second, more lasting sale. He was sold at level 10, and he spent some time as an active dragon; had a familiar, was on a lair tab not specifically marked for sale or exalt, spent some time on a similar-level coliseum team. Sadly, that owner eventually exalted him during a push. IIRC he was at least level 12 by that point? Alas, it wasn't a long run, and he is with Plaguebringer now. Since he was exalted without offspring before the dragon bought with his sale proceeds was sold in turn, he is the end of this line.

The "Alto-Seawind Division" Chain
This is the chain that spawned from Alto-Prime when one of the dragons was sold, came back, and sold again.
To review, Dragon #1 was Alto:

When Shadowling sold again, I bought a second exalt-rescue-chain dragon. We'll call him #3S: Seawind. He was purchased and landed on a tab that isn't obviously exalt related, so now I have a chance to get another dragon and train it before he's exalted. The current owner is @/Alpestris.

Dragon #1: Moondance might have been fourth in the Alto-Prime chain if I hadn't had a bout of tendonitis and delayed his training. Since his linking dragon got exalted first, the chain has to start over. Good luck, guys!
