[center][b][size=6]For Dominance[/size] [size=5]A Hunger Games Pinkerlocke[/size] [size=4]Rules & Adjustments[/size][/b][/center] Most of the rules below are based off of the [url=https://www1.flightrising.com/forums/qnc/1904162]original Pinkerlocke[/url] rule set. [b]Basics :[/b] [indent]~ If a dragon faints in the coliseum, they are dead and must be exalted. ~ Activity for the day depends on what item is pulled from Pinkerton's Plundered Pile. ~ All dragons have their own personal inventories, which will be their only source of food. Dragons may share what's in their personal inventories with other dragons if they wish. When a dragon dies, the other dragons on their coli team choose what to do with the dead dragon's personal inventory (keep, give away, leave, etc.). If all dragons on a coli team die, the items in their personal inventories are lost to the battlefield and no other dragon can pick them up. ~ Apparel and familiars serve as extra lives. If a dragon would die in the coli, remove an apparel piece / their familiar and they will be saved. To make it fair, ancient breeds who cannot wear apparel will not be included in these Games. ~ If a dragon runs out of energy, they have starved and must be exalted.[/indent] [b]Drops of Fate :[/b] [indent][b]Food[/b] [indent][indent] [emoji=plant size=1] Plants : 10-20 matches [emoji=insect size=1] Insects : 20-30 matches [emoji=seafood size=1] Seafood : 30-40 matches [emoji=meat size=1] Meat : 40-50 matches[/indent] Select a coli team via random number generator, then randomly select the venue based on the highest leveled dragon on that team. The available venues to choose from are from the level corresponding to the highest leveled dragon, to the lowest level that team can still get experience from (4 levels below the highest leveled dragon). For example, if the highest leveled dragon on the team is level 15, randomly pick a venue that includes levels 11 to 15 (Blooming Grove to Redrock Cove). Then, randomly select the number of matches corresponding to the type of food drawn (randomly select a number between 10 and 20 if Pinkerton gave a plant food item, etc.). Stay in the selected venue for all selected matches, or until you stop gaining experience, in which case move up a venue. You may only flee a battle at the beginning to regain health; once you attack you cannot reload. Give the pulled food item to the highest leveled surviving dragon of that coli team. If all dragons are equally leveled, give the item to the surviving dragon who is first on the team.[/indent] [b]Materials[/b] [indent]Do some writing. What are the dragons' backstories ? Are they fighting just to live, or for something more ? How are they coping so far ? Do they hate the Games or do they think it's fun ? What do they think of other dragons / districts ?[/indent] [b]Trinkets[/b] [indent]Form alliances and negotiate trades between the dragons.[/indent] [b]Familiars[/b] [indent]Select a dragon via random number generator and give that dragon the familiar. If they already have a familiar, the new familiar goes into their personal inventory. The dragon can decide what to do with it (save, give away, etc.).[/indent] [b]Apparel[/b] [indent]Select a dragon via random number generator and give that dragon the apparel. If the apparel overlaps with an apparel piece already on the dragon (i.e. two body apparels), the new apparel goes into their personal inventory. The dragon can decide what to do with it (save, give away, etc.).[/indent] [b]Battle Items[/b] [indent]Flip a coin. Heads, perform a death streak. Tails, it becomes a food day instead; use a random number generator to pick how many matches to do (10 - 50). If heads : Pick three dragons via random number generator and put them through 10 consecutive matches in the venue which corresponds to the highest leveled dragon on that team. Do not stop until the 10 matches are over or all dragons are dead. Give the battle item to the highest leveled surviving dragon. If all dragons are equally leveled, give the item to the surviving dragon who is first on the team. If the dragon cannot equip the battle item, it goes into their personal inventory, where it can be used for trading purposes. If all dragons on the team die, randomly pick a new dragon to give the battle item to.[/indent][/indent] [b]To Start[/b] [indent]Obtain the cheapest modern breed adult male and female dragons from each elemental flight in the AH. Each flight will represent a district. Begin the Games when you receive a battle item from Pinkerton to simulate the violent beginning of the Games.[/indent] [b]End Condition[/b] [indent]The Games end when there is only one district left. That district's flight becomes Dominant until the next Games. [/indent]

Aand I'm pretty much ready ! Hello and welcome to my Hunger Games inspired Pinkerlocke ! I've adjusted the original set of rules of the Pinkerlocke challenge to fit my personal preference as well as to help make this as Hunger-Games-like as possible, so feel free to go through those to get familiar with how this is going to work (also let me know if anything is too confusing and I'll clarify!). One thing I'll say about this Pinkerlocke that isn't in the rules section, is that I'm not going to be doing a lot of writing with this one. Trying to write for every day is a bit exhausting and was the main reason my actual original Pinkerlocke challenge went on hiatus. So, I'll only really be writing when the mood suits me ! For when I don't feel up to writing prose, I'll most likely just list what happened that day and talk it out like I'm doing right now. I've acquired all the necessary dragons (22 in total), and now all that's left is to wait for Pinkerton to get me a battle item so we can start this off with a bang ! Ooh, I'm really excited to see this kick off! 'locke style challenges are perfect for a hunger games-esque sort of story, and I'm excited to see who will be crowned the victor at the end of it all :D I'm currently voting for Shard, but that may change as things develop throughout the Games! Most run for the cover of the woods, but three dash towards the center of the starting point where a pile of supplies sit. The two dragons who arrive first, [b]Aquaheart[/b] and [b]Seed[/b], begin to fight in earnest. The third dragon, [b]Oesen[/b], is hesitant to join the fray. Instead, he sneaks around and approaches the supplies unnoticed. [b]Oesen[/b] gathers as much [b]food[/b] as he can put into his bag, scooping up a [b]small potion[/b] when he spots it. Just as he's about to turn and run, the stack of supplies moves. From underneath, a small head pokes out and smiles up at him. It's a [b]Silky Webwing[/b], and happily flies to his side when he lowly calls for it. Fearing when the other two dragons will notice him thieving away, he quickly secures his bag and runs as fast as his legs will carry him. Soon after, [b]Aquaheart[/b] manages to throw [b]Seed[/b] off of her, and the impact stuns him enough for her to run the rest of the way to the supplies. Or rather, as she finds out, what's left of them. [b]Aquaheart[/b] growls to herself when she sees that most has been taken, and she seethes as she begins to tuck the rest of the [b]food[/b] into her bag. Just before she can finish, [b]Seed[/b] leaps to his feet and rushes at her with a shout. She barely manages to dodge his attack, and before he can try to make another one, she makes her escape. [b]Seed[/b] almost follows her, but stops when he spots the last item left on the platform, a [b]singular flower[/b]. He does not eat plants, but he has heard the horrors of starvation in the Games, so he swipes it and figures it may be useful later. He leaves behind an empty clearing, and the cannons remain silent. For now. [center]~~~~~~~~~~~~ @TheAwesoMew[/center] And here's the start to the Games ! No true death streak since I got tails on the coin toss, but the three dragons picked did do a good job of leveling up to [b]level 4[/b] ! And, since all three dragons survived and are equally leveled, the Berserker stone that Pinkerton dropped will be given to [b]Oesen[/b] as the first dragon picked. I'll be updating the personal inventories post with all of these items a little after I post this ! The most noteworthy thing that happened with this first battle was that we got a familiar drop about halfway through, and since [b]Oesen[/b] picked it up, he's the first dragon who now has an extra life ! The Silk Webwing will sacrifice itself if he's in any mortal danger, allowing him to continue in the Games. And since the Games have officially started now, I will stop automatically feeding all 22 dragons. From now on, they can only feed off of what's in their personal inventories. I'll try to be dutiful about remembering not to hit the feed everyone button in my lair, but if I ever mess up, I'll put everyone's real health into their personal inventories. To give a reference for how long it may take for a dragon to starve, they lose 3 health points everyday, and they start off with 50 points. So, it'll take about 16 or 17 days for a dragon to completely starve. We'll see if that happens to anyone ! Any items that the dragons picked up which are useless to them (such as food they cannot eat) can be traded / given away during a Trinket pull day, but for now, they'll remain in the dragons' personal inventories.
