Lauma's tail twitched excitedly. She could reach the center of the board! This game had been a lot of fun, but she was really looking forward to the finale. She shoved another candy rope in her mouth as she moved her token.

Svarog punched the air in victory as he finally broke through the twisting vines of the Shrieking Wilds. Finally! Yes!
He hopped on one foot as he scratched his itchy, ant-bitten foot - it was starting to swell with hives, but he didn't care. He had finally reached the Behemoth!
--
"Lauma, what are you doing?" A cheerful voice came from behind her.
"Svarog!" the pearlcatcher gasped, trying to hide her game piece without losing her spot.

Svarog furrowed his brow in suspicion. "Uh...what are you hiding?"
"...nooothing."
He looked around her at the board she was trying to hide from him. "Hey! Is that supposed to be me?"
Lauma stared at him with her many eyes.
Svarog stared back, with the correct number of eyes. "...am I winning?"
Lauma glanced at the game and finished sliding her token to the center of the board. "Maybe? You found some treasure along the way."
"Oh." He said, sitting down beside her, curling his long tail around his own legs. "Sweet."
"You also got bitten by a bunch of ants."
"What?!"
"Sorry," she grinned.
Svarog narrowed his eyes at her and then took a candy rope as payment. "I'll forgive you. This time."
--
The spiral sprinted on all fours to the base of the great tree. He stopped when he reached the gnarled roots of the ancient giant and carefully felt along the edges of the bark. After a few minutes of searching he found what he was looking for - a small, delicate white flower growing from between the cracks in the bark. He gently plucked the blossom and tucked it into his pouch.
All this for such a little thing. These flowers were the only ingredient missing from Lauma's favourite tea. She'd be so surprised and proud of him for braving his way to the Behemoth. He smiled. Worth it.

Lore:
"And...go!"
The hatchlings sprinted toward the entrance toward the great Behemoth, laughing and giggling to each other. Myrdin and Leafstep followed more sedately.
"This was fun," Myrdin said. "I kind of wish our other nests had been this way."
"There's always next year," his mate teased.
They watched the hatchlings, that were soon to be adolescents, trip each other inches from the gate. Neck-and-neck, they struggled playfully.
"Hard to believe they'll soon be grown up and ambassadors on their own," Leafstep said. "But they'll always have these memories."
"And so will we," Myrdin replied.

As some surely have noticed ... yesterday everyone of you was able to reach the Behemoth.
Some had it easy, most had a ... very, very, very long way... :'D
But everyone who did try made it!
Admittedly, it was not planned like this initially - but the maps of the generator are always so, that everything is connected at some point. I did not notice this during the test run before the Gathering... :') I only noticed it on day 4 of the game, when the Shrieking Wilds opened for exploration. I just needed to edit in few walls each time, but on the last day I felt it would really be unfair to do so... Because that would basically mean I had to decide who gets into the prize drawing & who does not.
So I just let y'all figure it out!
And, after all, I'm sure Gladekeeper would have wanted you all at the Behemoth. :P
I had a great time reading all your lore, especially on this last day!
It was so varied - some wrote it as a game, some as an adventure, one did both. Some were here for treasure, some to explore, some for something more spiritual; we had groups, families, lone wanderers; some had fun, some faced the serious danger's of the Labyrinth...
And especially for you serious lore writers I felt a bit bad you had to make your dragons head back to the entrance before finding their way... [emoji=wildclaw scared size=1]
But now on to what you're all here for!
