Part 2:
Textures (4/4, 40pts)
Have you ever had a fidget toy? Different textures can appeal in different ways. Find something for each of the following.

One of my play testers is wearing a soft hand-knit dress.
#27 - Smooth - 10 points
The purple end is smooth.

This banana is way overripe and quite squishy.
#29 - Bumpy - 10 points
The handle is bumpy.
Colors (or Colours!) (9/9, 90 pts)
What would a game be without color? You need different colors for each player, colorful boards, different color "resources" or bits. What can you find to represent each?
#30 - Red - 10 points
Red and blue player markers from All Creatures Big and Small.
#31 - Blue - 10 points
Red and blue player markers from All Creatures Big and Small.
#32 - Yellow - 10 points
Yellow fences and feeding troughs from All Creatures Big and Small.
#33 - Green - 10 points
It's a little hard to tell in the picture, but the dice are green - made out of jade.
#34 - Purple - 10 points
Ticket to Ride: Nordic Countries came with purple pieces! (my favourite colour)
#35 - Orange - 10 points

#43 - Time for lunch. - 30 points
Bag lunch - Sheet pan chicken, applesauce and an apple. The weather was so nice that day that I actually did eat outside, but I didn't have my camera at that point.
Get an Insider's View (6/7, 150pts)
#44 - Players - 30 points
These girls are getting ready to play Ticket to Ride: Nordic Countries.
#45 - Best ever - 20 points
Ticket to Ride: Switzerland is one of my favorite board games (though probably not quite as good as TtR:Nordic Countries - see #49). It plays excellently with only two players, and gives has some wonderful opportunities to cut off your opponent - which I really enjoy doing to my mum.
#46 - Playing outdoors - 30 points
British Bulldog! It starts with one person who is it in the centre of the field. Everyone else lines up along one edge of the field (it works best if there is a fence or some sort of line to mark the edges. The person who is it calls "British Bulldog," and everyone has to try to run to the opposite side of the field without getting tagged. Anyone who is tagged also becomes "it." The game continues until everyone has gotten tagged, and the last person to be tagged is the winner.
#47 - Nature's game board - 20 points
Tic-tac-toe: nature edition! Rocks vs. branches of last year's Christmas tree.
#48 - Flight Rising Games - 20 points
Word association Super easy, just post the first word that comes into your head when you read the previous word.
#49 - Be a game critic. - 30 points
I really like Ticket to Ride: Nordic Countries. Usually when I play games, it is just with my mum. Nordic Countries is specifically designed for only 2 or 3 players (the basic Ticket to Ride games are for 2-5 players), so it is perfect for us. The game takes about 30 minutes to play, which is about as long as I like to spend playing one game (though we often play 2-4 games in a row!). The board and cards have beautiful snowy illustrations, making it the most attractive Ticket to Ride game in my opinion. And it comes with purple trains(my favorite colour)!

Create your own game. How do you play? Design the packaging, cards, or board, or share a "rules" sheet.
