#45 - Best ever - 20 points Ticket to Ride: Switzerland is one of my favorite board games (though probably not quite as good as TtR:Nordic Countries - see #49). It plays excellently with only two players, and gives has some wonderful opportunities to cut off your opponent - which I really enjoy doing to my mum. #46 - Playing outdoors - 30 points British Bulldog! It starts with one person who is it in the centre of the field. #49 - Be a game critic. - 30 points I really like Ticket to Ride: Nordic Countries. Usually when I play games, it is just with my mum. Nordic Countries is specifically designed for only 2 or 3 players (the basic Ticket to Ride games are for 2-5 players), so it is perfect for us. The game takes about 30 minutes to play, which is about as long as I like to spend playing one game (though we often play 2-4 games in a row!). The board and cards have beautiful snowy illustrations, making it the most attractive Ticket to Ride game in my opinion. And it comes with purple trains(my favorite colour)! Design the packaging, cards, or board, or share a "rules" sheet. Need inspiration? Try one of the ideas here: Homemade Games

Get An Insider's View Challenge: #44 - Players Entry: Details: Players assembled! We have a little blue... hippo thing, a cheerful turtle, a gnome with a piglet, a Meganium in a flowercrown, and a handmade beadbot. The turtle and gnome are Kinder Surprise pieces from the early 90s! Challenge: #45 - Best ever Entry: Certainly the game I play the most! Rummy Tiles, also known as Rummikub, uses a set of small tiles numbered between 1 and 13, and in black, blue, yellow and red (with two sets of each number). There are also two Joker pieces. Each player draws (typically) 14 tiles from the pool, setting them in a rack to hide them from the other players; they then take turns setting out runs (consecutive numbers in the same colour, say 4, 5, and 6 in red) or groups (three or more collections of the same number, say 10 in red, black, and blue). Jokers are wildcards that can represent any tile. Each player takes turns, either setting down any runs or groups (sets, collectively) or, if they cannot place anything out, picking up another tile from the bag. The first person to get rid of all their tiles wins! Importantly, you can also use the tiles already on the table - let's say someone has already put out a run of red tiles from 4 through to 11, and you have a yellow and a blue 8. You can take the red 8 from the middle of that run to make your own group of 8, so long as there are at least three numbers remaining in the existing red runs (in this case, 4-5-6-7 and 9-10-11). Some play with more difficult rules, like only being able to start if your sets add up to a certain number. We opt not to do that, mostly because we're doing this as good brain exercise for my 93-year-old grandmother, who has mild dementia. As well as being a good exercise, it's also good fun, and a good bonding experience for my mother, grandmother, and I. Challenge: #46 - Playing outdoors Entry: Details: The Switch may be very portable, but it is... less than practical in direct sunlight! Does what it says on the tin - take the username of the last person to post, and run it through autocorrect. Details: Darn you, admin carrot! Challenge: #49 - Be a game critic Entry: Legend of Zelda - Breath of the Wild is the most recent release in the Legend of Zelda series, released as a launch title for the Nintendo Switch. The story takes place in a post-apocalyptic Hyrule, 100 years after a being known as Calamity Ganon wreaked havoc throughout the land. You play as Link, waking in a strange chamber with a bizarre tablet made of some high technology, a voice in your head, and a whopping case of amnesia. As Link explores Hyrule, meeting and helping people all the way, he begins to piece together the events of a hundred years ago - where he was one of the Champions of Hyrule and the weilder of the Master Sword, the destined hero meant to face Calamity Ganon. What went wrong 100 years ago? How did Link survive? And how can he make things right? I have been a Zelda fan for twenty years now. Breath of the Wild is the most magnificent entry in the series, hands down. The world is huge and packed with detail - even after 250 hours in game, I was still finding new places. It offers freedom that the series has never had before - you can follow every plot thread, challenge every shrine, and face Ganon at your full strength, or you can run straight from the shrine where Link wakes up to the castle, wearing only a pair of boxers, waving a stick, and screaming. (Seriously. People have done it. The world speedrun record is under half an hour. For comparative purposes, hitting all plot points is a bit under three hours, and the 100% speedrun record is nearly twenty hours.) It's not just the open world, though. The story itself holds out incredibly well, with Link piecing together his memories of the past and revealing to the player - and him - what happened a century ago. The characters are likeable - just look at the instant fandom around Prince Sidon - and well-developed, and gameplay elements like controls, mechanics, and level building all run (mostly) smoothly. There are, unfortunately, a few puzzles that force the player to use motion controls, and this can be a significant frustration for some - although the solutions that many players have come up with can be extremely inventive! (Look up the Myahm Agana Apparatus shrine for good examples! This is the most common way to cheese it, this method is for really, really extra people ;D ) Just a spectacular game. I legitimately have no idea how they'll beat it. Challenge: #50 - Make a game! Entry: Introducing: Labyrinth Leap! Details: Start from your nest in the Everbloom Gardens and travel through Sornieth! On the way, encounter other flights, chance the crossroads, and make your way through the Gladeveins and Shrieking Wilds on your way to your new home - the Behemoth! Crossroad spaces, marked with a green star, are crossed twice - once at the start of the loop, once at the end. You will also encounter flight spaces, where you will run into members of other flights who may help - or hinder - you. For each flight or crossroad space, pick up a corresponding card - outcomes can be neutral (do nothing), positive (skip forwards or roll again), or negative (move backwards or miss a turn). Race your hatchmates to be the first to settle at the Behemoth!

Challenge: #44 - Players
Entry: pxECzWA.jpg
Details: Players assembled! We have a little blue... hippo thing, a cheerful turtle, a gnome with a piglet, a Meganium in a flowercrown, and a handmade beadbot. The turtle and gnome are Kinder Surprise pieces from the early 90s!

Challenge: #45 - Best ever
Entry: Certainly the game I play the most!

Challenge: #49 - Be a game critic
Entry: Legend of Zelda - Breath of the Wild is the most recent release in the Legend of Zelda series, released as a launch title for the Nintendo Switch.

For comparative purposes, hitting all plot points is a bit under three hours, and the 100% speedrun record is nearly twenty hours.)

It's not just the open world, though. This is the most common way to cheese it, this method is for really, really extra people ;D )

Just a spectacular game. I legitimately have no idea how they'll beat it.

Challenge: #50 - Make a game!
Entry: Introducing: Labyrinth Leap!
RhbCcJG.png
FseCQDN.png

Welcome to the game!

I appreciate the concern for keeping the loading time down, but I think I do tend to prefer images in the post. It's just a personal preference to make recording easier and save a lot of clicking back and forth. (Plus, it lets everyone else see all the cool things you post!) - I have recorded everything you have already posted, though, so please don't go back and change anything you have previously done. That would just be unnecessary work.

@ryttu3k - If you ran this previously, I am guessing you originated it! Thank you! I love your cat! It reminds me of my first cat who was the best boy ever (at least for me).

@redtailia - What a creative idea for your name "card"! The crane is fantastic!

Greetings everyone! I just have to say that I love reading everyone's entries and seeing all the fun pictures. I think I am enjoying running this event as much as I enjoyed participating previously, because now I get to see everything.

Just a quick reminder... It looks like there have been some extra items in the previous posts. Please remember to ping me (in a separate post) if you want me to catch your updates right away. Making changes within a post doesn't ping me again. I probably won't go back through all of the posts again thoroughly until the very end, so I'm likely to miss additions without a separate ping. Thanks much!

I'm really impressed at how quickly some of you are going through these.
