'Sapphire slowly sips at her herbal tea while Limni carefully checks her over. The warrior's life didn't treat the immense imperial as well as the clan's other fighters. She's not like her dearest Bluelight, seemingly born with a burning passion for battle in his heart. She's not like Joy, who would tear the Plaguebringer herself to shreds in the name of her charge, or Lerita, who is all too willing to take justice into her own talons, no matter the risk. Sapphire is simply a dragon who saw a growing clan's need for protection, and filled that need. She couldn't expect the grieving parents to fill that role, or the small children, or the mages ill-equipped for combat. She may have paid the price for her decision in the form of an ever-aching body... but she knows that whenever she may be needed on the battlefield, she'll be there. She wasn't willing to leave the clan high and dry back then, and she sure as hell isn't willing to now.'

'Cypri leads Arvias through the deep snow; its time to teach his son how to hunt. The younger mirror complains about how his legs sink into the snow. Cypri wonders how he'll take the news that today's lesson involves jumping directly into the deepest stuff to retrieve burrowing prey. He gently nudges Arvias into a more ideal position for not getting stuck, and takes the moment to teach him the best way to stalk across the tundra. He'll make a fine hunter one day... he's sure of it.'

She's capable of creating more interesting colours, but right now, she's after camouflage. She's getting a little impatient though... she's been here for hours. When will something show up? C'mon. Throw her a deer... a rabbit... anything... she'd take a butterfly at this point. She remains motionless. Something has to turn up eventually... right?'
