The warriors recognise them, welcoming them back with open arms and eager grins. Despite how much stronger they've grown, they're still kept on their toes by the fierce fighters they face throughout the day. One particularly feisty [item=Bengal Chimera] challenges them over and over until she collapses in the gritty sawdust. Dreamer carries her to the stands to rest with their familiars. Their last bout ends long after dark. Dreamer aches all over, but it is the good ache of a day's hard work. LittlePrincess barely stays aloft as he trails her back to Viola and Zosimus with Ash around his shoulders. The Fae is a little jittery so she leaves him be to check up on their new friend. Their familiars searched the stands for a misplaced tincture, but no luck yet. The Bengal Chimera helped. And wants to join their clan. She shoves her tail full with a trio of [item=Scene: Arena] postcards she found while searching like she needs to pay them or they'll turn her away up at Dreamer. Dreamer tells her she can stay before accepting the postcards. Zosimus' knowing smirk melts to understanding when the bewildered chimera bursts into tears. He hugs her while Viola rustles its leaves comfortingly. The chimera's tail hisses in menacing embarrassment when Dreamer reaches out so she also leaves her alone. So Dreamer and LittlePrincess remain there. They fight all evening long, when temperatures are cooler. Fighter after fighter, they all fall to their combined might. Dreamer grins, fierce and free. The latest group of challengers fall groaning to the sandy-sawdust floor. She roars her triumph, blood alive with the song of battle. Her paw still glowing with the energy of Eliminate, she slams it into the ground just to feel the resonance of power. Through the ensuing dust cloud, LittlePrincess swoops down upon her like a pretty comet. He lands directly on her head, all four limbs clamping her mouth shut while his wings and tail stay spread wide to balance. She freezes in shock, snapped so thoroughly from her rampage that she forgets to breathe. His head bobs back and forth, peering into one eye and then the other, his fins bristled in fright, something frantic and desperate to him that keeps her firmly pinned in place. He must find answers because his fins flop in relief before his head drops down to thunk against her forehead. Dreamer's breath leaves her in one whoosh, ruffling his bodice. She's trembling. He's trembling. In the crater at her feet, something rattles against her claws as she lifts her paw. Lying innocently in the sand is an [item=Eliminate]. It's not hers knocked loose. She swallows. Battlestone formation is mysterious. Some are carved by an ancient guild of crafters. Some are resonances of energy given physical form. She stuffs it into her satchel. She walks from the arena floor and heads straight to their room. LittlePrincess stays clamped around her face until they are enshrouded in darkness. The trembles don't stop. He eases around until he's cradling her head against him though his forehead never leaves hers. Silent tears soak him. She had been quite busy with training and then the Dustcarve Dig fiasco had sent her clan into a frenzy of grinding. There had not been a single moment to spare as they searched high and low for lantern oil. Of all the strange things her clan did Hefin really couldn't understand their strange obsession with this dig. Following the Dig was the influx of wild animals to hunt, which her teammates informed her was known as the Sunparched Prowl. This was followed by a push for treasure from her clan to be able to afford luxuries like genes (she didn't know why they felt the need to use money to buy these things but she still helped them out) Finally, the BrightShine Jubilee rolled around and she had a short break from the hectic existence that was life with her clan. She took stock of the items she had managed to gather during the hectic weeks. An Eliminate battle stone from a chest brought back from the dig, a scene found while grinding in the blooming grove, and a... Wait what was this? She shifted away a few trinkets and a pile of food to get a better look at the unexpected item. Behind them sat a small purple and pink hatchling. It giggled at its discovery and tried unsuccessfully to hide behind a much too small stack of books. [center][img]https://www1.flightrising.com/rendern/avatars/704336/70433542.png[/img] [/center] Huh, she didn't remember collecting a hatchling in any of her fights. But, oh well. It's certainly not the first hatchie to show up mysteriously in the clan! She gave it a small pat on the head, handed it one of her excess stacks of salted game and thought nothing of it. Until I playfully ran after her carrying the game in its mouth. "What do you want?" she asked it in confusion It made a small "mmrp?" sound in response around its mouthful of food. "Hm quite understandable!" She said with a smile, humoring the hatchling. It babbled a string of noises at her and then proceeded to climb up onto her back, still carrying the piece of food she had given it. Huh, ok... It seemed like she just had a hatchling now. She could have sworn there was supposed to be more steps to parenthood! ----- [b]tldr: [/b]I stopped playing Flight Rising for awhile, got back into it due to the anniversary, and then impulse bought a second vow dragon!

[s]Anyway, it's really late right now so I'll write some lore for her tomorrow! [/s] Bella was found as a hatchling by Hefin hiding out in the clan's hoard. Even Bella herself has no idea how she got there or where her parents or birth clan are. As a hatchling she imprinted on Hefin and followed her around as much as possible. Hefin for her part helped care for the strange foundling and would bring her gifts and trinkets from her battles in the coliseum. As Bella grew up she decided she wanted to be just like Hefin, so she decided to take the Vow of Poverty.

For my version of the vow, I'm counting items made in Baldwin's Brew as free because in universe I don't really understand what the treasure is paying for, it's just another ingredient in the recipe.
