Olivine had been about to go outside with Beaumont and Euclase when Cookbook announced a second round of the Hungry Games. Making a snap decision, Olivine said a hasty apology to her two friends and rushed towards the throng of dragons gathered around the podium. Maybe if she was quick enough, she would be allowed to volunteer again.
She managed to get in, and soon found herself herded into the processing floor with all the other tributes. Looking around, she didn't recognize anyone from the first round. Was she the only one who had signed up again? No, wait, that blue Spiral looked familiar! Olivine casually walked closer to get a better look at him. Yeah, he'd definitely been in the first round.
"So, why you decide to sign up again?" she asked, sidling up next to him. "I don't think anyone else from the first round is here beside us, although I could be wrong." She glanced around again, but there were so many dragons milling about it was hard to pick out anyone.
@natureluvr are you interested in a bit of RPing? I was actually hoping to interact with Carribean Sea in the first round but never got the chance, so if you're up for it I would love to have him and Olivine chat ^^
@TheAwesoMew @Thewarywatcher13 sorry for having Olivine leave so abruptly! I didn't plan on re-entering her, but when I realized I was allowed to I wanted to seize the opportunity while I could

umber was one of the more quiet members of the can. didn’t think much of where he lived so long as they treated him kind and had a place to sleep.
of course, whispers got around that sumuji got elected and knocked out of The Hunger Games. everyone didn’t mind the extra treasure, so he got let off pretty easy. pats and ‘good jobs’ were handed out and a small feast from their own provisions were shared among everyone.
however, it was a shock that umber was nominated.
he didn’t quite think that his members of his clan even thought of him. sure, he helped with moving packages and serve food, but he wasn’t noted for anything special.
“alright.” umber was in even more surprised at his own yes. perhaps the call of Home truly meant more to him then the spiral realized. as umber saw the other Earth dragons, an odd sense of familiarity arose.
these are my kind. this is where i belong.
umber gave a very steady face.
it is time to show them who’s in control.

hey @
snek! this is so much fun and it’s like being paired up with the teacher in school. i hope i can make is far for the carne!
i do have a question! when looting, can we do it to any knocked out player at any time or does it have to be the next night right after they got knocked out?

It can be any knocked out player at any time, as my reply will use whatever plot device is necessary to jam it into the storyline. Just keep in mind that each player only gets one chance to try looting, and that each knocked out dragon can only be looted once! (And that until at least one spectator gift has been described at the start of a results post, there won't be anything TO loot from anyone!)

Vermello gazed at everything in the stadium. "It sure feels nice to be back home," he whispered quietly. His main goal was to make friends first and betray them later. We do what we can to get to the top you know. He didn't want to disappoint Mariana at home. He flew around the arena, looking at everyone and trying to get to know them. He went by his own phrase of make friends, KO later.
"I'm doing this for the sake of clan and I will win, doing whatever it takes to get to the top," he said with a grin. "Even if it means getting hurt along the way."
He flew up to a piece of crystalline structure he could wrap his spiral body around and looked forward to what is going to come.

We're in the same food group, so if you want to RP we can. All up to you though

Stardust flicked his tail angrily. Bloodstone had made him sign up, and here he was, soon to be carrying food to the Earthshaker. With nothing to do yet, Stardust decided to build something to help him win. Spotting a tower of stones, he ran towards it, hitting the bottom section with his horns. As the rocks supporting the structure slipped away, the entire tower collapsed.
"That's right," Stardust murmured to himself, smirking with a plan. "Why climb to the top, when the top can come to you?"
Looking around, he spotted a Pearlcatcher with an earthy shade of colors. Recalling that she was his teammate, he trotted up to her, hoping to deceive her later so he could win.

We're both in the same food group, so do you wanna RP with me?

Nem gazed at the surrounding geode in silent awe. No wonder Euclase spoke highly of the processing floor. She had visited Euclase in the Games medical tents the night before to see how her clanmate was doing. The skydancer talked long into the night about her experiences in the Hungry Games, of the excitement of the arena and surprising friendliness of other players she had encountered along the way. Nem had already heard the daily news, of course, but she didn’t mind hearing the tale anew from her friend's perspective, and the way Euclase spoke of it made the Games sound so much more intriguing than she had thought a food fight would be when the first round had opened up. A chance to meet father Earthshaker…
Eucase had been nothing but encouraging when Nem spoke her considerations for joining the next round, so hear she was. Only time would tell if it had been too hasty of a decision. The boards said she had been sorted into the Banana Brunch, with a spiral named Vermello as her teammate. Euclase had told her that she never even met her teammate- she’d been too busy taking notes about the crystals along the walls. It seemed a shame to miss the opportunity.
It didn’t take her long to spot the spiral flying around the processing floor. She watched while he settled himself around one of the projecting crystals, then plodded casually forward to sit nearby.
“Hello.”
((@Kelpoyo They’re welcome to meet, though I think Vermello will find that Nem is a dragon of few words. :) ))

<Sounds good!>
Erin dug her claws into the stone and smiled as she felt the flow of energy around her. She had missed this. The Starfall Isles were fine, and she enjoyed being around her friends in Paradox, but there was nothing quite like the power of Earth. When she had seen the Nocturne calling out for volunteers in the Hungry Games, she had decided to participate. After all, what better way was there to celebrate the Earthshaker's power than by joining? And it did not do to have uncomfortable gods around.
Her eyes flicked upwards as she heard a thunderous clatter. A brightly colored Gaoler had charged at a tower of rocks and sent the pile falling to the ground. Several small elementals had crept out from the rubble, shaking their claws angrily at the dragon. She shook her head, then blinked as she saw the dragon approaching her. Had he noticed her reaction to the small spirits that were still trailing behind him? Or- wait, she recognized his image from the team listings that had been posted earlier.
So, this was her teammate, then? She took a deep breath and stretched out her claw. "Hello there. I'm Erin. Would you like to start determining our strategy for the start of the games?"

Deera thought it be best to talk to his fellow food group dragon before anything else, try and make at least one friend that could help out in the days to come. But there were too many dragons upon the crowd for him to find them. Too many dragons and wow, such a magnificent walls. Each one sparkling brightly like the hope he had of winning these games. He quickly forgot he was supposed to be looking for a dragon and walked instead along the walls, admiring their beauty.
What can I say, Deera is a lovely guy but he is a little too forgetful sometimes xD

Vermello took notice of the guardian before she even had a chance to speak to him due to his good sense of hearing. He swiveled his head around and slowly coiled down the crystal structure until he was at eye level with the Guardian.
"So I heard you're my teammate," Vermello said with his tongue flicking in and out as if he was smelling him. "My name is Vermello and I heard your Nem? I am pleased to make your acquaintance."
He circled the guardian looking for any potential spots to
crush her later. after circling around for a bit, he coiled back around the crystal he was settled on before. No one knows what's coming and how he will most likely leave her in the dust later. He eyed all the other contestants and couldn't wait to take down the competition. That is if he survives...

Stardust smiled at Erin. He wanted to get on her good side first. Flicking a small rock off his horns with his tail, he sat down in front of her.
"I'm Stardust. And, since you asked, I think I have a strategy." Stardust told the Pearlcatcher, quickly making a map of the pillar. He then pocked holes in the dirt. "These holes represent the weakest points of the pillar," he explained when Erin looked confused. "If we get rid of the rock underneath, the spots will collapse and the other climbers would fall." Stardust then drew two more lines, each weaving around the holes. "I already made a route for us. Well, two routes, actually, so if one of us gets eliminated the other can keep going."
Stardust stood up and stretched, flapping his wings quickly. He looked at Erin, who seemed somewhat confused. "What do you have in mind?" he asked her.
