As long as they're separated in the storyline, I'll keep the teams like that, but will randomly decide which one will do the fighting. Ignacia had tried to ask Potion a few things, but she quickly realized he wouldn’t talk. Maybe he couldn’t. And maybe his name wasn’t even Potion, but when asked who he was he had pointed at one of the Potions she had gotten from her bag in case the dragon in the box was hurt or weak. But Ascot couldn’t give up. „What’s with the mask anyways? Do you have scars? Are you a silent warrior? An Assassin?“ „Ascot, shut up and choose a door.“, Ignacia said, hoping that the excitement about choosing would silence the Pearlcatcher for a while. Behind the next door was a small hallway with a junction after a few metres. „Left or right?“, Akrail asked and looked at Ignacia and Ascot. He acted like he couldn’t choose which one to ask, as if he couldn’t decide which one he saw as a leader. Ignacia took the left path without saying anything. „Just another door.“, she noted immediately, so she couldn't have gotten far. Ascot turned right. „Yeah, here's a door, too.“ A few bumping noises came from his direction. „It doesn't open.“ Ignacia wasn't surprised. „The trials we had so far were more about teamwork than anything else. Even the Pocketmice seemed to test our ability to fight together. So these doors might open when we try at the same time. Again.“ Akrail peeked around the corner and said: „But... that would mean we'd have to split up, right?“ His voice sounded worried. „I'm going with Ignacia!“, Ascot shouted from his side of the junction. „No, you're not.“ The female Tundra quickly replied. „I'm going with Potion, and you go with Akrail.“ [item=Charged Might Fragment][item=Aid] Potion got stronger, and Ignacia learned Aid! Both doors opened with a loud squeak as soon as Ascot and Ignacia tried to open them simultaneously. „Are we gonna be separated for long? What if we never-“, Ignacia heard Akrail ramble, but as soon as the door shut behind her and Potion it was silent. „Thank god.“, the Spiral thought while his companion took a few steps forward. It seemed there was just another hallway before them. „Look!“, Ignacia whispered after squinting for a while. „Is that another dragon?“ And indeed, a Skydancer stood at the end of the Hallway, calmly waiting for them. I promise I'll properly introduce the two new dragons in the next chapter.

We will test your strength as a unit.“ His voice sounded almost mechanical. „We?“, Akrail asked. The Skydancer nodded, eyes still closed. „The names are Ivy and Malakai. We will ask, and your counterparts will answer. If your bond is strong, nothing is to be feared. If not, you are not permitted to remain in the herd.“ Akrail scratched his head. „What does that even mean?“ Ascot shrugged his shoulders. „Sounds like he will ask us something and... uh...“ „The others will answer the same questions.“, the Skydancer – Ascot decided he looked more like a Malakai than an Ivy – added. „But it's a test of... what did you say, our strenght as a unit?, Akrail asked and was no less confused than before. Ascot seemed to think about it. „Will you ask personal questions?“, he asked after a while. „Correct.“, Malakai answered. „And Ignacia and Potion will have to quess what we said?“ „They'll have to know. And vice versa.“ There was a long silence before Akrail made a desperate sound. „How on Sornieth should we know [i]anything[/i] about Potion?!“ But to the Coatls surprise, Ascot smiled encouraging. „If he can't speak, he can't answer questions, right?“ Akrail seemed surprised, but calmed down a little bit. „...Right.“ „Come on, let's do this!“ [item=Sap] On a totally unrelated note, Ascot learned Sap! I will not buy a Dragon (Apparel Item) or Hatchling, either and will „backlog“ these purchases. They will get random names (with the same starting letter, cause that's how I always name my hatchlings), and in the end, only one will survive!
