There's a spiral staircase on the furthest wall, curling up into the darkness. To your left there is a door, but it seems to be jammed shut.

(Thank goodness for those amethysts…) Once you have the code figured out, you notice there are other shapes in the door that you didn’t notice before. They looked like natural features of the wood, but on closer inspection they seem to be just the right size to hold those pinecones. Weird.
