I doubt that I will post every single day, I feel like a deadline to meet would make me feel too pressured. If I abandon this I will ping anyone on the ping list to let them know. I won't just disappear forever. This is my first time trying this sort of thing, and my writing skills are a bit rusty. I am hoping this will help shake some creative juices loose. My lore for the parents is pretty old and mostly a bunch of head canons that I may or may not have written down yet, so sorry if you go to the parents' pages all excited to read lore and its just kinda eh X,D I am hoping this challenge will help me brainstorm ways to flesh out the rest of my clan's lore. The exception to this is Basil and Zyl. They will be considered the main characters of the story, so cannot be killed. If they faint in coli they will have something non fatal but bad happen to them (illness, injury, get lost, ect) and be taken out of commission for a bit. All dragons not already named when I get them will be named with the random name generator. I can scroll to find ones that are not stupid like PonyCruncher, but the name MUST come from the rng. If a dragon reaches level 25 it can retire and join my main lair. ----- [u][b]Drops of Fate:[/b][/u] [b]Food:[/b] Coliseum time! Plants: 10-20 matches Insects: 20-30 matches Seafood: 30-40 matches Meat: 40-50 matches Coli Easymode: Choose whichever team and venue you want and go for it. Running from battles, using health pots, and ending the battle streak is fine. ----- [b]Materials:[/b] [s]Lore writing[/s] Changing this on as of 5/22/19 since I just write the main story lore whenever I want. Materials will now be for coli time. Will use RNG to determine battle type 1 - Treat as if I pulled a plant item, 20 battles 2 -Treat as if I pulled a insect item, 30 battles 3 - Treat as if I pulled a seafood item, 40 battles 4 - Treat as if I pulled a meat item, 50 battles 5 - Treat as if I pulled a battle stone, flip coin to determine if I go on Death Streak or raise the level or 3 dragons ----- [b]Trinkets:[/b] Art ----- [b]Rare drops:[/b] Wildcards ----- [b]Familiars: [/b]Buy a new dragon off of the AH. Roll a random number for breed first: 1. Fae 2. Guardian 3. Mirror 4. Pearlcatcher 5. Ridgeback 6. Tundra 7. Spiral 8. Imperial 9. Snapper 10. Wildclaw 11. Nocturne 12. Coatl 13. Skydancer 14. Bogsneak Then roll a random 2 digit number. The first number is page number, the second is which dragon down. (Ex: 49 would be go to page 4 and grab the 9th dragon on the list.) ----- [b]Apparel: [/b]Breed 2 dragons/Leave the item in the pool and Breed 2 dragons as soon as they are ready to breed. Note: Must flip a coin for each hatchling once they hatch. If tails, the dragon is dead and I must exalt it. *[emoji=special eyes] If a hatchling is born with Special Eyes I can choose to keep it alive, substituting a living sibling to die in it's place if one is available. If no living sibling is available I can still keep it alive. If it is supposed to die later in the story, I can choose to remove it from the story as if it was lost or left and put it in my lair instead. OR Use Apparel item like a Familiar and buy a dragon off the AH using same rules as Familiar item. ----- [b]Battle items: [/b] Flip a coin. Heads = DEATH STREAK Tails = Increase the level of three random dragons by 1 (Credit to @/Sabariel for this adjustment) DEATH STREAK rules: Randomly select three dragons using a random number generator. Fight in the coliseum using the "food" rules 10 rounds consecutively (ie. you cannot leave that arena), quitting midway if a dragon dies. If you are using the easymode rules, switch to the hardmode rules for battlestones. Hardmode: You must select coliseum challengers in your lair using a random number generator. Then, select the coliseum arena that corresponds to the highest level dragon of that group.

They dream of excitement, riches, and glory. Will their dreams come true or will this end in tragedy? [b]General Warning: [/b] There will be violence, death, and any eggs laid will do so with the implication that the dragons involved had some sort of intercourse. The actual intercourse will always be off screen. The violence may be somewhat detailed, but I do not think it should get too bad. It wasn’t the first time she had asked him since he had told his family of his plans to go adventuring with his two friends, and the repetition made him a bit nervous. Radiance was the Matriarch of the Clan of the Radiant Caverns for a reason. She had and incredibly powerful ability to see into the future. He wasn’t sure if her reluctance was born from something she had Seen or her protective Guardian instincts. “I am sure, Mother.” Basil replied softly, pushing off the ground with a few quick flaps of his wings and landing on his mother’s head. His tail instinctively curled around one of her horns and he draped himself down the length of her muzzle affectionately. “Unless you See reason for me not to go.” The Guardian was silent for several minutes, and Basil could feel the faint pulse of magic through her scales underneath him as she tapped into her powers. After it faded away she finally replied, her voice a low rumble with grief. “It is muddied. There are too many variables to see clearly. I see joy. Pain. Death. New life. I cannot say whether you will live a long life or pass on too soon…. I want to keep you where I can protect you, but I know it is not what you want for yourself. I must let you go, and pray for you while you are away. I hope you know that no matter what happens, you will always have a place here. You can always come back.” Basil rubbed his face against his mother’s muzzle, his tail squeezing tighter on her horn. “I know, Mother.” He mumbled. ----- [center][img]http://flightrising.com/rendern/coliseum/portraits/497049/49704814.png[/img][/center] “Do you have everything you need?” Zyl looked up from their inspection of supplies to see their parents watching them fondly. Istalri and Laeril had both traveled in their youth, both of them hailing from the Ashfall Wastes and eventually ending up in the Sea of a Thousand Currents. The pair had few worries about their capable offspring leaving to adventure with their friends. “For now.” Zyl hummed, “There are a few herbs I would like to have gotten in time, but I will have to make due with finding them at markets as we travel.” Istalri nodded approvingly as he stepped forward, holding out a pouch fairly bursting with coins. “Had you forewarned us more than two weeks in advance we would have gotten more for you. We did a few rush orders with the time we had though, and want you to take this.” He explained, nuzzling his head against Zyl’s fondly. Laeril hummed her pleasure, rubbing her face against Zyl’s other side. “Send us letters when you are able to. We will miss you. And your sisters will too.” Zyl nodded, humming happily as he returned their affection. “I will. She had said her goodbyes to her parents the night before, and had used this morning to sneak into one of their treasure caches and choose some going away presents for herself. Surely being pirates her parents would find it hilarious once they discovered what had happened. She had left a thank you note so that they would know it had been her, so there wouldn’t be any trouble in the clan because of it. Before long she was joined by Zyl. The Coatl surveyed the Nocturne’s new finery and gave a small shrug. It wasn’t their business how she had managed to acquire it. Zyl settled down to wait beside her, looking out at the sky and taking note of the winds. It was good travelling weather. After another handful of minutes a blue blur rushed past them. “Are you two coming or not?” taunted Basilius over his shoulder, his attempt at a jovial tone not quite covering the thickness of his voice. Clearly the Spiral had been crying, but his two friends had expected as much. Ravage shot after him in a flash, cackling wildly as she started a game of tag to distract Basil from his sadness over leaving their home. Zyl got up in a much more relaxed manner, taking flight at a casual pace behind them. The two would fly in circles playing games, there was no need to rush.
