Never having felt especially athletically inclined, she decided to try luge, because the nice dragon at the booth said that it was like sledding, and heck, even a hatchling could sled. She figured there was no way she could mess this event up. It also gave her the opportunity to engage in her favorite activity – stargazing. She lay back on her sled – which she had been informed was also called a luge…curious… - and prepared for her cue to take off down the track. While she lay there, she gazed up at the beautiful, dark, endless night sky and counted the constellations. “The bull, the twins, the hunter, the great wolf…” She loved this time of year because those stars were some of her favorites. Especially the constellation of the great wolf. She didn’t have any more time to ponder her stars though, because at that moment she heard her cue. She pushed down the hill and before she knew it she was screaming aloud as she found herself rocketing down the course with more speed than she’d ever experienced while flying.

It looked like so much fun! He had to do it. Speed and control seemed to be the keys to this sport. After watching his clan members play hockey, curling, figure skating, and speed skating it was his turn to compete. He looked down the hill, following the courses curves, then he laid down on the sled gripping it with his feet. He grinned as the race official signaled the start. It was a little disconcerting the feeling of falling down the hill, but Gwanwyngan didn't have time to dwell on it as the first curve was right there near the beginning. He was zipping down the course, barely holding on. Before he knew it, he was across the finish line and trying to come to a stop. He let out a huge breath, followed by an even bigger grin. That was harder than he had thought it would be...but SO. MUCH. FUN! Gwanwyngan let out a howl like a wolf in the night.

So it was only natural that he would be eager to try his luck at the ski jump. The Skydancer could barely see the bottom of the slope between the snow flurries and the ever-darkening night. The eclipse had passed its peak, but it was still very dark out there. Still, he felt himself trembling with excitement as he got into position at the top of the ramp. As soon as the signal came, he'd speed away down the ramp and fly high up into the air. From the stands at the bottom, his fellow clanmates might not be able to see him flying through the skies, but they'd certainly be watching for him to make his landing, and Michaelmas would certainly do his best not to disappoint them!

@Deladria

(That's so cute! Poor Krabat was probably insulted that he was accused of cheating, but I'm sure that he was glad to be able to help. He loves it when others enjoy his creations!)

I just realised that I might have linked to my first four entries the wrong way in my submission forms. Did the links work/were the entries recorded? ^^"
