TOPIC | [Nuzlocke] The Weight of an Ocean
~ The Beginning ~ I can’t breathe, and that’s okay. My wings are heavy, pulling me down to the Tidelord’s last embrace. The glaring sunlight above paints mosaics on the rippling surface of the sea. A golden goodbye… The sand underneath me shifts, small stones digging into my wings. I feel as though my lungs have been scoured by molten metal, but I am breathing. I am alive. The thought seems almost disappointing. My limbs feel like they are made of stone, but I force myself to move and begin to examine my surroundings. At first glance, this place appears to be a cave, but upon further inspection I find no clear way out. Or how I got in, for that matter. The only opening in the rough stone walls sits far above my head, admitting the meagre light of a waning moon. A shadow detaches itself from a shelf above the cave floor, slowly taking the shape of a massive Guardian, skinned in green and black. “Celaire.” The word carries an ocean of meaning that I cannot decipher. It settles upon me with a rush of emotion, a roaring wave of awe, purpose, and loss. I close my eyes to let the name sink in. My name. It’s all I have. When I open my eyes, the Guardian is gone. Not even a footprint remains to tell me that he was even here. That it wasn’t a dream. He was here. I know he was. I can't be here alone... Can I?

I've been away for a while and wanted a fresh start, so a little voice in my head said "hey you should do a Nuzlocke. That would be fun." Exalting everyone was hard. But I did it. I shipped them all off to Glittermom, changed flights, and began writing. This will honestly most likely be more of a writing exercise than anything, but I'm excited to get started! Comments, critiques, and suggestions are greatly encouraged, especially when new dragons slowly start being introduced.
