Their bright varying degrees of red, black, and yellow/orange carry the same warning of danger, but also serve as a way to identify those belonging to their clans. These dragons live within the caverns of Greatwyrm's Breach where they ambush any that dare trespass. While these dragons are not inherently venomous like their namesake, the saliva of these dragons has been noted to carry infectious bacteria that poison their prey’s bloodstream, as well as proteins secreted by glans within their mouths that act as an anticoagulant. It has been theorized this trait may have resulted from scarcity of food within the deep confines of Greatwyrm’s Breach, causing them to make sure that whatever they get ahold of will not get away. This extends to trespassing Beastclan such as the notorious Longneck of the region or other enemy dragons. When asked why these dragons reside within the Breach many will answer that they are protectors of the murals painted by their ancestors, as well as the ancient caverns decorated with treasures scavenged from all over Dragonhome.
