They beam as there is a puff of pink smoke from a cauldron, and the bogsneak extracts a brightly-colored bird skull from it. "That's Chester," the spiral says. "I'm Peaches, the other spiral is Grimraven, and then the pearlcatcher over there is Charoite. We'll be your assistants today! Here, what would you and your familiar like to start your brew with*?" I'd like to start with some flowers. Some frosted ones, if there are any? I think a little bit of a freeze is in order... For reasons." @Jaspernoir "Hello, I'm Charoite- but you know that. This is my pal, Sneaky the Snake. And my familiar Rebel!" The pearlcatcher smiles, turning to the cauldron in front of her. "Looks like you want some flora with a touch of ice huh~ I got the idea something like that could work." [url=http://flightrising.com/main.php?dragon=44070723] [img]http://flightrising.com/rendern/350/440708/44070723_350.png[/img] [/url] After a moment of bubbling, Charoite uses a pair of tongs and a container to pull out a bunch of [b]preserved petals[/b] covered in [b]unicorn dust.[/b] She lays the bottle out in front of Callisto and smiled warmly. "Good job Callisto, and great job lil froggy!"

Callisto gives a chilling smile in return, and nods approvingly.

"Yes, yesss this will do perfectly! He is a good reedjumper, this one. Very special. And your snake has lovely ruby eyes. Very striking. Thank you."

Nimue chimed, smiling wide and bright. Oh, this looked like fun! She was quite familiar with magic, but she hadn't tried her hand at brewing or alchemy in... well, it must've been an age, and what better time than Starfall to get a bit adventurous? "I go by Nimue, and this's Cae." She gestured to a large pink lizard-like creature that stood as high as her knee. Her Xolo looked nearly as happy as she did, with a blithely innocent smile. "I'm not too familiar with brewing myself, but I'd love to give it another whirl! Mind showing me to an open cauldron?"

A myosotis fox bounces up onto the table as well, a basket full of alchemy supplies in its mouth. "I'd be happy to help you out! What did you want to get started with?" I'm looking forward to seeing what we make." Nimue faltered just slightly, just for a moment. "Ah, I did have an ingredient in mind." She opened a clawed paw to reveal a small golden stone that seemed to pulse at the touch. "Could we make something with this, do you think?" [center][item=Sacridite][/center] She reached out to pet Flower as the fox hopped onto the table, seeming to recover her previous cheerful demeanor. "Aw, you're a good fox! Thanks, little guy." She chimed, managing to tear herself away from showering the myosotis fox with attention long enough to dig through the basket, humming lightly under her breath. "Oh, let's use this! Smolder told me about dragon coral, once, apparently she saw someone do something cool with it." There was more to the story, but she seemed to lose her train of thought. She wrinkled her muzzle for a moment, trying to place what exactly had happened, before giving up and passing it over to Peaches. [center][item=Dragon Coral][/center]

"Let's find out!" Peaches said cheerfully. Flower leaned into the pets, wiggling in delight.

They held the stone up to the light for a moment before dropping it in the cauldron. The light green liquid turned a bright yellow and bubbles popped. Clearly delighted, they then took the dragon coral and carefully turned it about in their hands.

"Hhm... perhaps it will make the brew lighter? Ooh, maybe it will absorb everything! Sponge potion. What do you think?" they asked, holding the sponge out towards Cae for inspection.

They then dropped it in the brew. Flower barked as it turned a more iridescent gold, numerous smaller bubbles floating up, up, and away. Peaches then clicked a pair of tongs and extracted the coral. It had turned a bright pinkish-yellow, much like an infused crystal, tiny bubbles drifting from it.

After giving it a minute to cool they offered it to Nimue, beaming.

Despite being an Arcane dragon, Flamesoul had always had an unusual affinity for heat and fire. Lately, he'd been beginning to dabble in the field of alchemy. While Clan Twinstar did have Leon to serve as an alchemist, not everyone was comfortable hanging around such a mighty Plague dragon, and Flamesoul figured having someone else to turn to would be helpful. It was so frustrating, then, that his first few attempts had been somewhat unsuccessful, so when he saw the signs pointing to this "Brewing with Familiars" event, he decided it would be worth investigating. Maybe he would pick up a few new tips, at least. [item=Conflagrant Ambassador] Glancing over the ingredients on offer, the Skydancer would pick out a bouquet of pink and blue flowers, being careful not to singe them. It wasn't always easy for him to control his flames, but he was getting better at it. Then, with his Conflagrant Ambassador following beside him, he'd make his way over towards the cauldron where the Pearlcatcher, Charoite, was waiting. "Hello," Flamesoul said to her, giving the Pearlcatcher a nod. "I'm Flamesoul. And this manticore is... Honestly, I'm not sure what his name is yet. But he hasn't left me alone since I first met him back at the Fire festival, so I guess that makes him my Familiar." The Skydancer then reached up to adjust his goggles, while the manticore came closer to peer over the edge of the cauldron curiously. "So, how do we begin? Do I just... go ahead and dump these flowers into the cauldron?"
