COLISEUM
While levelling and exalting fodder may be a great time-killer and a good way to get some extra cash, exalting it yourself isn't normally the best. If you DO have some fodder to level, level 7 is what you normally level to. Save em in your hibden, wait until a battle or conquest of sorts, and then just yeet em. If it's a battle, put em on the public auction house in the last hour of the fight, and if it's like a conquest or something (with no battle for a long while) throw em to a flight's public buy!
If you're levelling a dragon to lvl25, whether for aesthetic reasons or you're being paid to train them, you're going to want to do 270k exp per day. This gives you plenty of time to do other things and only demands about an hour or so. <- hey is this still correct after the mire update? i gotta check
Day one: lvl15 | Day two: lvl19 | Day three: lvl21 | Day four: lvl23 | Day five: lvl25
Regular grinding in the coliseum is your main source of dragoncash. The Waterway is a great place to grind, as not only are you slowly getting a ton of Swipp items, but it's also your lucky venue. ;D Try to get 60 cockroaches every day as a base goal. Setting challenges for yourself helps keep coli seem interesting and fulfilling too. Don't forget to dual-window your coli tab and your youtube tab so you can catch up on stuff while you grind!

BALDWIN
It's okay to buy the materials needed for some Baldwin materials, provided a profit can still be made. G&G can help make up for the dragoncash lost in buying those materials. The best things to brew for profit are ancient genes, however, there are specific genes that you can make the most out of, instead of just brewing whatever you'd like and risk losing money as well as time.
One may think that Pin/Trail is the most profitable gene with all the hoops you have to jump through to obtain it, but Sli/Slu (aberration) saves more time and nets you about roughly the same if not more. Not to mention that Sli/Slu isn't as demanding on materials as Pin/Trail is. This is, of course, going by if you have to buy every single rare material. If you have them offhand, brew an Imbued Sulfur, but stop there. At the moment, the profit of selling an Imbued Sulfur is the same as Pin/Trail, so you're just wasting time.
Brew a Sli/Slu (aberration) gene. Windsinger knows you have way too many of the mats required for it from Waterway and the treasure needed to brew it can be obtained easily through G&G and a little bit of coli. Ancient genes are ultimately better to brew because they don't demand as many materials or money as their modern counterparts, yet sell for around the same price if not higher!

FESTIVALS & EVENTS
Festivals are a great time to profit, but not when it's ongoing. It's going to be a long wait to resell them, as though I can't say when you normally sell them yet, at the end of that fest season sounds good. (When the Light festival starts). Also, don't sell off your currency. The 1:500t ratio is great when you're in a pinch, but later down the line when you trade in that currency for items, it'll act like 1:1000t.
Eggs are a great way to earn money, especially if you time selling them right. When a special event happens, people are going to want to buy an egg to remember it. Whether it be Halloween, Christmas, or another special event, the egg prices are going to spike for that day, but that day only. On Halloween, Plague eggs were up to 400g, but the very next day or so, they were back down to 300g. During NoTN, the egg prices can go as low as to 200g due to everyone grinding and getting eggs. This slowly climbs back up and gets to around 300g in mid to late Summer. Don't hatch, sell. A few exceptions here and there work, but keep in mind that you'd be better off hatching at 200g than 300g. Don't go crazy until you know it's worth it.

NIGHT OF THE NOCTURNE
Always sell your Strange Chests, especially during the first few days. The prices will spike during this time but then will begin to stagnate once everyone starts listing theirs. Be sure to stock up on all sorts of apparel/bundles. You should get at least one of something from everything.
While you ARE advised to brew only Strange Chests, brewing apparel helps too. For the eerie cyan set, forejewels/clawrings are the best to brew, as well as pendants and taildecor. Don't bother with nightshrouds and ghastcrowns. Don't brew anything from the Haunted Flame set unless it's the candles, and don't wait until October or any later to sell your stuff. It's better to sell in mid-late summer.
Here is an Imgur album with all the recipes you're going to want to save up for. Some of the items mentioned above are not included here, as they aren't considered that important. You are most advised to have at least 40 red ooze, red goo, red sludge, silver muck, and gold muck saved for Strange Chests x2. Having 5-15 of each type of brewed materials like Beakers, or Reductions and 20-30 of each regular base material is good, too.
You're going to want to change it up every so often to match the Swipp trades. Here's the link to all his trades as well as the location of the items he'll ask for. Impulse spending sucks. You've got a dragon you THOUGHT had some potential, but now that you're trying to scry it and think of an outfit, you just don't know what to do. Don't do this. Plan far ahead before you even think about buying the dragon. Make up a scry plan, outfit plan, think of its lore, and most importantly, ask yourself if this is a want or a need. It's a weird question, but an important one. If you end up taking too long and someone snags it, too bad! Perhaps it wasn't meant to be...
A want is separate from a need. Sure, this color combo may never come up again, but do you honestly care? Is it another combo that will get lost into the void of your mind, or will it haunt you for the rest of your days? Is it an ID you just can't ignore? Is it essential for a breeding project you have in mind? Figure out if it's a want or a need, and if you can afford to go without. (spoilers: you most likely are able to go without.)

There are better ways to gather that'll help you gain a lot more mons instead of getting an egg here or there. Instead of focusing on an immediate cash-gain, try to look into a more passive flow with rewards in the long run. Like Swipp! With the help of this guide here here's a compilation of some of the best places to Gather.

========================== NOTES ==========================
[columns]xxxxxxxxxx[nextcol]I need to be less lazy with my creative projects such as drawing and writing. It's really taken a backseat when it doesn't have to be. Although I am getting better at productivity, I still struggle to allocate my time better. Overall, though, I'm very happy with how this month has turned out.
My luck really took a nosedive in the middle of the month, but that's fine since I try not to rely on that type of thing. It really picked up around the end, though.
I also have enough gems for a Light Sprite now, so I'll be looking to buy one in the next few days. I wonder what I should aim for next? Maybe I should just finish geneing all my projects and then decide. I was thinking the rest of the sprites, then the downtime familiars? But I'm still thinking about it.
My expectations for the next month is that it'll be a slow one now that the CS event is over. The aberration hype seems to have dissipated a bit, yet the slime/sludge prices has stabilized at a 180g-230g range, but they could go lower. My main concern isn't necessarily price, it's if people begin to stop buying them, which might end up happening just like with poi/tox for banes. Only time will tell, though! At the very least, I can rely on my ol' pal firefly to keep me going. Waterway best girl <3[nextcol]xxxxxxxxxx[/columns]

========================== NOTES ==========================
[columns]xxxxxxxxxx[nextcol]AND I SAID THIS MONTH WAS GOING TO BE SLOW AHAHAHAH wow, so a lot of things happened! I dusted off my DV account and decided to liquidate some of my stuff, turns out those monthly chests go for a lot when they've been sitting in your inventory for months on end! Oh, and Wind vs Lightning happened - we won!! There were a ton of flips and it got down to the wire (no pun intended). It was super fun, and of course, very profitable. >:) I also hatched an XXY somehow, so that got me a good chunk of gems there too. I also started to hire people for coli services rather than coli myself to give myself more time for other personal things, and it's worked really well. The people I hire are really nice and they grind at my pace, so I never feel like I'm losing out and should just coli myself instead. And brewing too! It's helped a ton for me. :)
I noticed that I spend most of the treasure I earn and don't have a lot left at the end of the month, but that makes a lot of sense. I spend ~100kt every day brewing genes, and I prioritize selling stuff for gems rather than treasure 99% of the time while I like to buy genes for treasure, and that adds up. I don't mind, though - I still have emergency treasure in my vault and I typically buy UMAs and dragons and whatnot with gems so it's given me no problems so far!
As for my predictions on June, *shrug*. The anniversary is coming up, and I'm really excited to see what's in store. I'm not prioritizing if I can profit off of it or not, but if it's like a gene or breed or something, maybe I can do something about it. Uuuuuhhhh... besides the usual slime/sludge abby gene selling, I don't see anything in particular happening, but we'll see what happens! Oh, and firefly gene selling. Waterway best girl.

========================== NOTES ==========================
[columns]xxxxxxxxxx[nextcol]It was a bit of a slow month this month, though around the end I started to get back into DV and use that to do offsite trades which boosted my profits. Firefly's price went down by about 100g, so that's a bit of a loss there, but it's fine - life be like that sometimes! I've also been taking a bit of a break from coli, so there's that.
I saved a lot less gems this time around because my main focus was to push through as many gene projects as I could this month, and I'm almost done with them all! Sure, there's like a dozen in my hibden still, but a lot of them I don't even know what I'm going to do with yet, so those don't count! >-< And also, I finally finished one of my art projects!! Yaaay! Now if only I could finish those skins in my WIP folder HJKFHDJSHGFD
For my predictions for July, ehhh?? Coursework is gunna be picking up a bit so this may also be another slow month, however I'm going to continue playing DV casually (and selling whatever potatoes I don't need) so I'm sure that'll keep me afloat at least somewhat. I only have 3 gene projects this month too, knock on wood.. I'll probably end up seeking more, or going ham with UMAs LOL.
