Indeed... it occurs to me both Althea and Asdel were at one time chosen as Lord Spice's mates... though of course Asdel's being picked was waaay after Althea's time. They never knew each other.

Considering her son was a little lost prince in my clan. He might not be so lost anymore but he's going to get his heart broken again when she has to leave suddenly.

Also I'm at work still but I cackled madly because of this

Given he's her son with Spiiice, well...
She wouldn't resent him obviously but she wouldn't really be sure how to act around her. Royal. Son. That she was chosen (and was like "yeaah I guess" about) only to carry but nothing more.

Something like "hey dude, we can be pen pals or something if you want? I guess?" uncertain finger guns as she backs away
