Ok. After a bit of a hiatus I am back on FR. After only a week I have trained a new team of three lv 25 dragons and have started browsing the forums again, and today, on the first day of the first festival of the year, I stumbled upon this thread, and instantly knew I would doom myself to the apparent torture that this challenge offers. Here goes nothing and hundreds of hours that I don't have. @Ciphers aaah noo! Hope you have more luck next time! I've been spending a lot of time in the delta myself, but no doll. Been trying to remember if I have ever received a doll from the coli. Maybe once, years ago. Do you know if the chances are the same for every venue?

@mymbleth According to the database, all the enemies that have a chance to drop deity dolls would be: [columns]Training Fields: Crimson Emperor - - - [nextcol]Woodland Path: Sakura Owl Crimson Emperor Autumn Dryad Bamboo Phytocat [nextcol]Sandswept Delta: Fuiran Fan Scorpion Iridescent Scaleback- [nextcol]Bamboo Falls: Fungalhoof Qiriq Baku - [nextcol]Boreal Woods: Hoarfrost Mauler - - -[/columns] So, assuming that each enemy has the same % chance to drop one per battle, each venue would have different chances. (Of course, you won't get any from a venue not listed above) The Woodland Path would be best as it's got four different enemies that have them in their loot pool and you can get through encounters very fast. More battles against the above, the higher the likelihood for a drop. So interestingly enough, the Delta should, theoretically, be the second best venue for a deity doll drop to happen. It's got three enemies with loot pool dolls and you can still get through battles pretty fast. Unfortunately, it's just RNG at work. Just cause it's a good venue for a drop, doesn't mean that you'll get one in a reasonable amount of time. And just cause it's a bad venue for a specific drop doesn't stop the item from dropping over and over in there. And even though it's statistically more likely, a Woodland Path doll drop doesn't frustrate any less. [s]it's been months man cut me some slack[/s] [emoji=gaoler deadpan size=1] Best of luck in your doll hunt though! [s]i have... no idea why i got so in depth here lkjlkjl

@Ciphers haha I love getting into the numbers on things like this as well. Used to do shiny hunting in the old pokemon games and kept calculating odds and making up graphs at different encounters etc. Thank you for the in-depth answer! [emoji=coatl laughing size=1] I suppose when doing a challenge like this you have to expect a lot of 'bad' luck so to speak - I've only just started but have already received eggs twice from venues I don't need them from, and one boss familiar - still happy about that though hehe! I guess your question also pinpoints me in the direction of an answer I have had to another question, which is if every item ever dropped in the coliseum must drop from a specific enemy, or if they can also just drop from the venue itself. Such as eggs, which don't seem to be specific for a certain enemy. I suppose it most likely drops from an enemy then?

@mymbleth oh good! but, yes, RNG is a fickle beast. Yep! Again, looking through the database (Oh how I love the database, so much information), every possible drop is tied to an enemy. Every elemental enemy has its respective egg (And runestone + elemental battlestones) in its loot pool* (Whereas neutral enemies cannot drop eggs but have the neutral battlestones), so more or less every venue can drop every egg/stone type (Ex. elims now don't drop in low level venues). For things like genes/coli-wide apparel: a few enemies in each venue have them in their loots pools**. For venue specific drops (Ie. vistas/capes/some apparel sets): most, if not all, of the enemies of the venue have them in their loot pool (Ex. All Savanna enemies drop the Savanna vista). This leads to goofy things with multi-venue enemies, hence why you can get Training Fields vistas in the Scorched Forest! [emoji=gaoler laughing size=1] Then there's things like the Hypnotic Sight vials, which seem to be in every enemies' loot pools. I dunno. *This was true even before the coli rewrite-- I've recorded what dropped each coli egg I've gotten since I've joined and it's lined up 100% **This might be based on elements, as in all Ice enemies have X and Y genes in the pool while all Fire enemies have Y and Z genes (I actually just noticed this now and kinda want to look into it if no one else has yet)

@Ciphers ahh that's so cool! Sounds like you've been recording for a while! I used to spend ages in the coli back in 2014/15, but haven't for a long time, so it's fun to get back in to it. It's also nice to follow along as stages, art/animations, items and familiars are added to it!

Incidentally, how far into the scavenger hunt are you by now?
